After gaining significant experience as a district attorney, I decided to take the next step by moving into private practice where I accepted a position at one of the top tax litigation firms in the nation.  For a little over one year, I worked on: sensitive audits of individual taxpayers and businesses, appeals to the Internal Revenue Service, cases before the United States Tax Court, voluntary disclosures, and criminal tax cases.. Next, I accepted a position with one of the premiere criminal defense firms in Colorado.  During my five years with that firm I gained invaluable experience defending clients who were charged with anything from driving under the influence to first degree homicide.  I had the privilege of working with some of the best trial attorneys in the nation while serving clients in a wide variety of criminal cases.. The final step in my journey led me to forming The Blair Law Office, LLC, where I am the President and sole owner. Growing up watching my mother and father run a small business, I always knew that owning and running my own firm would be the best fit for the next generation of my family. I am proud to say that in year three the firm has achieved overwhelming success both in and out of the courtroom.. My experience, connections, and passion for litigation continue to serve the firm's clients well in achieving their desired results.  Whether it’s negotiating the best possible deal, or trying a case to a jury, the critical and only objective is always to obtain the best possible result for our clientele.

I primarily practice in the area of insurance defense. I have defended all disciplines in construction litigation. I have defended property owners, manufacturers, transportation companies, as well as small and large corporations in property, casualty, advertising injury and personal injury matters. I have written an Amicus brief for the Colorado Subcontractor Association. I have given presentations at CLE seminars on subjects ranging from employment in the public sector, to using experts and preserving evidence, to updates in construction law. I am a founding member and past co-chair of the Construction Committee of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. I provide expert opinions in attorney-fee matters and have been qualified as an expert witness in a variety of district courts in Colorado on the topic of attorneys fees and standard of care. I am general counsel to a handful of corporate clients as well as non-profit businesses that provide services to developmentally disabled clients and at-risk youth. I also serve as a mentor to University of Denver Law School students, and I am an active participant on Channel 9 News’ legal assistance program LawLine 9.

I previously worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 8 years in Illinois.  I conducted custody evaluations and testified in court proceedings regarding custody recommendations and findings.  Because of this previous experience, I bring a unique expertise to cases involving mental health and psychological issues.
