A native of Halifax County, VA, Hudson graduated from the University of Virginia with an undergraduate degree in Political and Social Thought.  Later he was awarded the Juris Doctor from UVA Law School.  Hudson joined the Virginia state bar in 1993.  He opened his current practice in Halifax, VA, in 2003..
