I have been practice law for over 35 years.  For 30 of those years I have been practicing exclusively Bankruptcy Law.  I am Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Consumer and Business Bankruptcy Law.. Personally I have been married to my wife Kathy for over 30 years.  I have two sons.  Mike, who works with me as a debt relief lawyer and my other son Ryan who works for the Department of Justice.  I also have four grandsons who keep me plenty busy.

Christian M. Sternat is licensed to practice law in the States of Texas and Ohio. He has been board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1988. Born in Pasadena, Texas in 1951, Mr. Sternat lived in various parts of the country prior to his return to the Houston area in 1984.. Presently Mr. Sternat is a member of: The American Bar Association, The Texas Bar Association, The Houston Bar Association, The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, The Houston Association of Debtors Attorneys, and he is a Fellow in the College of the State Bar of Texas.. Alex Wathen comes from a family of Catholic Kentucky bourbon makers.
Some of his relatives still make Wathen's Kentucky Bourbon. Alex has
taken on a much more global perspective and likes to learn and
experience new cultures and people in different parts of the world. He
also speaks French, Spanish, and Swedish. Although having received some
education in Europe, Alex is a great believer in our educational system
in the United States. He received his B.A. degree from the University
of Southern California, his M.L.S. degree from the University of North
Texas, and his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota. He has
also taken classes at various other colleges and universities to enrich
