Andrea Roberts (formerly known as Andrea Cates) grew up in Pascagoula, Mississippi and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 2005. After recovering from hurricane Katrina, Andrea joined the United States Navy in 2008. She served in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman until she was honorably discharged in 2013. While serving on active duty in the United States Navy Andrea was deployed three times during a time of war, for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Although Andrea had a crucial and critical job in the Navy she was able to obtain her bachelors degree in Criminal Justice while in the Navy. Andrea graduated from ECPI with highest honors, and was valedictorian of her program.. Andrea has always had a deep passion to help others so when she made the decision to leave the Navy she knew her next job had to continue her ability to protect and serve. So after many conversations with her mother she decided it was time for her to follow her dream of becoming a lawyer. Andrea began her law school journey at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and six weeks prior to her first set of law school exams, her mother passed away. Andrea doesn't give up though, she keeps pushing forward. Her very last promise to her mother was that she would work hard and be eligible to transfer to Mississippi College School of Law to complete her second and third year of law school so that she would be able to take care of her full time. Although her mother did not make it, Andrea kept her promise. She transferred to Mississippi College School of Law and she graduated with honors (cum laude). Andrea found the love of her life while in law school, and moved to Alabama after graduation to study for the bar exam.. Andrea sat for the July 2019 bar exam and passed. Her consisitent comment when discussing this, is that her mom is the reason, her mom although in heaven, continues to take care of her. Andrea practiced criminal defense and domestic relations law in Mobile County until April of 2020 when she relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. Andrea practices criminal defense, domestic relations, child custody, and estate planning law in Huntsville, Alabama.. When Andrea is not advocating for her clients she and her husband enjoy taking care of their six dogs, swimming, fishing, hanging out at Leigh Acres and playing board games together. Andrea volunteers at the Huntsville Animal Shelter, and although she has six dogs of her own she fosters dogs from the animal rescue Furget Me Not. Andrea is consistently giving back any way she can to the community.. The same strive, dedication, perservance, hard work, and determination she has shown throughout her Naval career, and her law school journey, she continues in each case. She will fight hard for you and is more than just a lawyer, she is an advocate and more importantly a friend to each and every client she has. If you need help, call Andrea. She returns calls, emails, and texts as soon as they are received. Although her client reviews both on Avvo and Google speak for themselves, Andrea is compassionate, she is always there, and she will always take your calls. When you hire her, your issues become hers, you are able to rest easy because she will carry the worry for you and she always gives her best to achieve the best outcome possible.
