The next generation has returned to serve the legal needs of our community. Nick Oswald is the second son of Andy Oswald, and was born and raised here in Hutchinson. After completing his undergraduate studies at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, Nick received his law degree from the University of Kansas Law School. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Robert Fairchild in the Douglas County District Court. Nick also served as an Associate Editor for The University of Kansas Law Review, which is a student-edited journal of legal scholarship. He is licensed to practice in the State and Federal Courts of Kansas and Missouri.. Nick is a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson. He shares his home with his wife, Emily, their newborn son, Logan, and their feline companion, Henry. Nick and Emily also volunteer at the Hutchinson Animal Shelter as a foster home for abandoned kittens.

Richard E. Oswalt P.A. Drivers License Reinstatement practice was started by Richard Oswalt, Attorney at law. It was started to assist Kansas Drivers who have canceled, suspended or revoked drivers licenses, obtain or regain their valid driving status. Mr. Oswalt, although licensed to practice law since 1987, he started concentrating his law practice in the area of drivers license reinstatement work in 1995. He is one of a select few Kansas Lawyers whose law practice focuses on reinstating Suspended and Revoked Kansas Drivers. Due the Kansas driver's license being a Privilege, and not a Constitutional Right, the Kansas courts are not required to disclose to the Kansas driver what consequences will result to their driving privileges from a traffic related conviction. Unless the Kansas driver is informed by their legal counsel about the potential for a license suspension resulting from a guilty plea or a finding of guilt, the Kansas drivers first notice that their driving privileges are being suspended or revoked will come from the State of Kansas-Driver Control's office in the form of a suspension letter. Many never receive this notice due to their address being different from what Driver Control has on file, and they continue to drive until stopped again and unsuspectingly informed of their suspended license. This, of course, usually results in a new driving while suspended charge, further complicating the problem by creating additional reinstatement fees, reinstatement requirements and, often times, a new mandatory suspension period.. This process often ultimately results in the driver receiving a letter from the State declaring them as an Habitual Driver and informing them (to their surprise) of a three year license suspension.

Mitch Rice is a native of Hutchinson, Kansas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wichita State University and obtained his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2002.  Prior to law school, he worked as an insurance adjustor handling large injury claims. Mitch has civil litigation experience from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives and has exclusively represented injury victims and workers’ compensation claimants since 2004.. Mitch is a published author and has successfully argued multiple cases before the Kansas Supreme Court and Kansas Court of Appeals, most notably, the Kansas Supreme Court case of Elstun v. Spangles, which expanded business liability for dangerous parking lot conditions, and Dutkiewicz v. Benchmark Insurance, which expanded uninsured motorist coverage for injured drivers in Kansas. He is licensed in both Kansas state and federal courts, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas Association for Justice, and the Reno County Bar Association.. Mitch is a writer for the Journal of the Kansas Association for Justice and a 2013, 2014 and 2015 recipient of the Martindale-Hubbell Client Distinction Award, which is received by fewer than 1% of the more than 900,000 eligible attorneys.

In her practice concentrated on civil litigation, Melissa defends professional liability claims, commercial liability, premises liability and auto negligence cases, and handles nursing home litigation.  Her professional liability expertise is especially valued in legal malpractice, insurance agent claims, and nursing home negligence.. Melissa advises a diverse range of clients on business/corporate law and on employment matters including representation in the defense of employment claims.  She also advises and represents clients in regard to health care law.. Greg Bell was born in Kinsley, Kansas in January, 1964. He grew up on a farm near Belpre in west central Kansas and attended school in Lewis, Kansas, graduating with a class of 17 in 1982. While in high school he played eight-man football and also participated in basketball and track, the only 3 sports offered at the small 1A school.. In 1987 Greg graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas with a degree in Agri-business. From there he attended law School at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas where he received his juris doctorate, with honors, in 1990. While in law school he was the business editor for the Washburn Law Review. Greg is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts located in the State of Kansas.. After working as an associate for firms in Wichita and Topeka, Greg settled in Hutchinson in July, 1996 and began with Forker Suter, LLC. As of January 2, 2017, Greg and his partner, Michael Robinson, are co-owners of Bell and Robinson, LLC. His practice is varied and wide ranging as is necessary in the community of this size. Greg’s practice focuses primarily on business matters, real estate and estate planning. Greg also assists families with guardianships and adoptions. Greg regularly appears in courts in the central part of the state, including the counties of Rice, McPherson, Harvey, Pratt and Reno..
