My practice consists primarily of plaintiff's employment litigation (discrimination, retaliation and harassment, wrongful discharge, and wage & hour matters), as well as consumer protection, personal injury, and miscellaneous torts. I also serve small businesses by advising them in employment matters and drafting employee agreements and policies.
Kevin has over 15 years’ experience representing clients in high-stakes employment and business litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. His practice focuses on representing corporate clients involved in business and employment-related disputes, such as wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, retaliation, public policy whistleblowing, non-competition and similar covenants, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. He has defended numerous class actions and other multi-plaintiff lawsuits, including complex multi-district wage and hour litigation and several discrimination matters brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.. Kevin also defends clients facing complaints made through state and federal agencies, such as the EEOC, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the Department of Labor, and others, and he has represented clients in alternative settings, such as binding arbitration and mediation processes many times with excellent results.. From these experiences, Kevin has developed a keen perspective on developing policies and strategies to help employers avoid employment-related litigation. He frequently advises clients on the handling of difficult personnel matters, policy reviews, wage-and-hour audits, and the full range of issues touching on the employment relationship. And because of his breadth and depth of employment-law and litigation-related knowledge, Kevin often presents to clients, industry groups, HR professionals, and fellow attorneys regarding developments in these areas of law.

He moved to Nebraska in 2008 to attend law school after growing up in the Kansas City area, attending the University of Kansas for his undergraduate degree, and working for several years in Kansas City as a lab technician at a prestigious primary cancer research facility. When given the opportunity to return home to Kansas City with his wife and children to focus his legal practice on representing workers who have been discriminated against and/or wrongfully terminated by their employers, he could not refuse.
I was born and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts. Leominster is diverse working class city of about 45,000 people in North Central Massachusetts 40 miles west of Boston. I always wanted to be a lawyer though I have no relatives in the profession. My father was a construction worker for over 35 years and my mother still works as a secretary. I was raised with the belief to fight for the little guy and good causes.. When I went to law school, I promised my parents that I would never work for large corporations but fight for people like us. I got interested in employment litigation my first year in law school when my dad was working in a ditch that did not comply with OSHA trenching standards and it collapsed on him. As a result of the accident, my dad has never worked again and has gone through multiple surgeries to repair damage to his knee. To see my parents struggle with only one income and see how much work meant to my dad, I realized my calling was to help people protect their employment rights. As a result of the accident, I clerked for the United States Department of Labor and began to immerse myself in learning laws that protect employees.. Since my graduation from law school, I have worked hard to keep true to my commitment in helping people like my mother and father protect their rights at the workplace. My continued commitment has brought many successes.. Should you need help, please feel free to call is. We know how much your job means to you.
I truly care about the well-being of my clients and am responsive to their needs. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about your case.
