I began my professional employment as a state parole agent with the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole from 1976-1987. This involved supervising inmates released from state and local correctional institutions as well as inmates from other state correctional facilities. I also conducted arrests and prosecuted parole violations in county courts and in parole board administrative hearings.. I attended Temple law school at night from 1980-1984 while working as a parole agent. In 1987 I joined the Bucks County District Attorney's Office and served until 1995. I rose to Chief Deputy in charge of all drug inveatigations in the county. I prosecuted many high profile drug cases. During my 8 years in the office I tried numerous burglary, robbery and other felony cases. I tried DUI's and homicide by vehicle cases. Although I tried several murder cases my most notable case did not involve the death of a person. In 1995 I tried the case known as "Duke the Dalmation>" This involved 3 individuals who had tied a dog's mouth shut and allowed their pitbull to attack it. When the pitbull did not perform up to expectations thes individuals tortured and mulitated the dalmation. The case received national attention. People called me from all over the country.. In 1995 I joined the firm of Rubin,Glickman,Steinberg and Gifford and became a partner in 2000. I handle mostly criminal cases. I have defended people charged with all types of crimes. Everything from DUI and retail theft to murder, child abuse, sex crimes against adults and children, drug distribution, burglary, robbery and other felony and misdemeanor charges.. I also represent injured workers in Pa, Worker Compensation claims. I also have clients who have been injured in auto and other actions because of someone's negligence.. I am active in my community. I am a director at the Central Bucks Family YMCA. I am a Big Brother for Bucks County Bib Brothers and Big Sisters. I am a Vietnam vet and life member of the VFW
I am a former prosecutor with almost a decade of criminal law experience. I recognize that simply being accused of a crime is an extremely stressful and frightening event in someone’s life. A conviction for any offense can have dire consequences, not just for the accused, but on family members and loved ones. I take pride in fighting for and representing my clients.
I aggressively represent those charged with criminal offenses in Pennsylvania and federal courts. Over the course of my career, first as a county and federal prosecutor and now as a criminal defense attorney, I have been fortunate to have those facing the criminal justice system put their faith and trust in me. That responsibility is one I do not take lightly. I take a personal approach, knowing that the prospect of facing criminal charges is daunting, with many unknowns to my clients. I take great pride in knowing that at the end of each day and at the end of each case, I did my absolute best for each client.
