Almost all Estate Planning is done on a flat fee basis. Fees for probate depend on state law and are subject to approval of the Court. Other services may be a flat fee or hourly, depending ont he type of service.. I serve on the Board of  the Heartland Men's Chorus and I'm a member of the Leawood Rotary Club. I'm a past member of the Board of the Huck Boyd Foundation.

I have many years of litigation experience, giving me a high comfort level in the courtroom. Over my years of practice, I have found great value in mediation to resolve conflicts. Through the years I have been involved with mediation in general civil cases, in employment and in family disputes. I regularly volunteer to teach classes in conflict resolution for organizations.

I have been privileged to practice law for over 25 years in Kansas and Missouri, including state and federal courts. I am a litigator with a focus on insurance defense, insurance coverage, indemnity disputes, and commercial litigation.  I handle matters from intitial filings in a lawsuit to appeal in higher courts.

I handle family law, probate and estate matters in Kansas and Missouri. My primary practice area is divorce. I am a trial attorney with an emphasis on crafting a resolution outside of the courtroom before putting the decision in the hands of a judge. But when push comes to shove I provide my clients with a competitive edge at trial.
