Michael Wharton has been a trial attorney for over 20 years. After graduating from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 1992, Mr. Wharton spent three years as an associate attorney at Walters Bender & Strohbehn, P.C. in Kansas City, Missouri. There he earned valuable experience as an injury attorney handling complex litigation such as dangerous product cases, railroad injuries, and class actions.. In 1996, he went to work for Couch Strausbaugh Pierce & King, Chartered, a group of trial attorneys in Overland Park, Kansas. He was elevated to partner and specialized in injury cases such as car accidents, slip and fall injuries, and insurance claims.. Over the years, he developed a philosophy for how to best help those injured by the negligence of others -- be aggressive. The insurance companies have claim representatives working hard for them, so it’s important that the injury attorney be equally aggressive. At Couch Pierce King & Wharton, he continues to diligently represent his clients to ensure that they are treated fairly when they are often at their most vulnerable..
