Licensed in Kansas and Missouri, I practice family law including divorce, child custody, child support, maintenance (alimony), parenting plans and visitation, modifications and protection from abuse. I practice primarily Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas and my goal is to work with clients to make strategic and creative decisions that work for the best interest of the family, especially the kids! I am a long-time Kansas City area resident having moved to the area in 1998. I attended Mizzou for my undergraduate education where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Political Science. From Mizzou, I worked at Cerner Corporation for several years before feeling called to law school. I attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for their law program and received my J.D. in 2010 and my LL.M. in Taxation in 2011. While receiving my J.D. and LL.M., I also worked in H&R Block’s corporate tax research department in downtown Kansas City. I eventually moved to a small firm, worked there for several years, and then to a larger firm where I worked as well. My experience at those firms was helping numerous families with their estate, business, and elder care needs.. After the experience in the corporate world, along with small and large firms, I decided that I felt a need and desire to open my own firm where I could assist clients in the ways I thought were most important: Competent legal service, customized to each person, that’s cost effective. My goal is to keep you involved in every step and to truly understand the plan you receive and be happy with the process.. Christopher (Chris) Mann is a former police officer and prosecutor who has dedicated his career to helping those in need.. Chris was injured by an impaired driver while working as a police officer. Unable to continue his law enforcement career, Chris returned to school and obtain his law degree from Washburn Law School. Chris was awarded the Koch full-ride scholarship to law school. During law school Chris argued his first legal case in a victorious appeal of a defendant's right to counsel.. After law school, Chris prosecuted hundreds of cases at the Wyandotte County District Attorneys Office, with numerous jury trial victories including Murder, Robbery and Drug Possession. Chris continued his prosecution career as a Special Prosecutor for the State of Kansas handling complex, white collar, securities crimes.. Chris brings this vast legal and trial experience to every case, negotiating when possible and litigating when necessary.
