Shelly grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia and graduated from the West Virginia College of Law in 2006. Following her graduation, Shelly began her legal career as a law clerk at the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. After her move to McMinnville, Oregon in 2007, Shelly worked as a law clerk for the Marion County Circuit Court, conducting legal research in a multitude of areas including family and criminal law. In 2008, Shelly took a break from the practice of law to focus on family and raising her two young children. She rejoined the legal community working as an associate in a private law firm in 2015 – that work confirmed her interest and dedication in practicing in the area of family law. He has almost ten years of service as a Judge in various Oregon courts.  His judicial experience includes, McMinnville Municipal Court Judge Pro Tempore (2006-October, 2008); Carlton Municipal Court Judge Pro Tempore (April, 2007-October, 2008); and Circuit Court Judge Pro Tempore (October, 2008-2016).  He was selected as a SuperLawyer Rising Star an unprecedented five straight years (2010-2015). This award goes to only the top 2.5 percent of Oregon lawyers as selected by his peers.  He has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight, Inside Edition, The Washington Post and New York Times, among others.. In his spare time, Mr. Goodfellow enjoys ultra-distance races. He has completed more than 40 triathlons, including 5 Ironman distance triathlons, consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a marathon (26.2 miles).  He coached junior baseball, football and basketball for many years.  He lived in Japan as a volunteer for two years and speaks fluent Japanese.  He loves to travel and has visited more than 25 countries.  Above all, he loves spending time with his family, including his three children.
