In a construction case, Pam Blair defended a subdivision developer in a negligence claim.   The trial court interpreted the Tennessee statute of repose concerning improvement to real property and barred the Plaintiffs claim; Plaintiff appealed; the Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court summary judgment.  Griffin v. Munford Development, W2007-00812 (perm. 2008),. Pam Blair defended a developer in a tragic pedestrian death case.  Plaintiffs asserted the absence of a sidewalk was the proximate cause of the death of two minors.   The trial court dismissed the claim as untimely filed after hearing argument over the determination of the date of the completion of the improvement to real estate.  Plaintiffs appealed unsuccessfully.  Jenkins v. Southland Capital, W-2007-01180 (perm. app. denied 2008). In a procedurally complicated case, Pam Blair stepped in mid-litigation to defend the appeal of a Knoxville pharmacy error case in Massi v. Walgreen Co., 337 Fed. Appx. 542, 2009 WL 2230722 (C.A.6 Tenn.))  after a conflict developed.  The case hit the Sixth Circuit under two different docket numbers; the Sixth Circuit affirmed the district court’s dismissal both times.. Ms. Boatner was awarded the College and Business and Professional Studies Junior Scholar Award as well as the Senior Scholar Award.. Ms. Boatner was very involved in extracurricular activities, including being a founding member of the Mississippi University for Women Mock Trial Team. She was also a member of Phi Beta Lambda where she competed in a statewide leadership conference, placing first in Justice Administration and second in Business Law. She served as President of the Jester Honorary Social Club from 2011-2012 and the Vice President of Bench & Gavel, a legal studies club, from 2013-2014.. During law school, Ms. Boatner was a member of The Association for Women Attorneys, a 2L Bar Governor for the Student Bar Association, a member of the Federalist Society, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, McKeller Chapter serving as the 1L Class Representative from 2016-2017 and Treasurer from 2017-2019.. Linsey served on the Executive Board of Phi Alpha Delta, McKeller Chapter as well as the Student Bar Association’s Constitution and Bylaws Committee, Golf Tournament Committee, and Auction Committee. Ms. Boatner volunteered for the Association for Women Atttorneys Power is Female: Inclusion, Equity, and Representation Symposium and Phi Alpha Delta’s Annual “Canned Immunity” Food Drive. She also served as a Student Mediator as part of the law school’s Mediation Clinic.. Ms. Boatner was honored as a 2019 Law Student for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court for her pro bono service while in law school.
