He is also an experienced adoption, divorce and child custody attorney.. Taurus Bailey worked part-time with the Shelby County Public Defender for over 13 years, and has maintained a private criminal defense practice for over 10 years with an emphasis in criminal trial practice. He is currently a part-time staff attorney handling civil litigation on behalf of the City of Memphis, and also represents plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits.
