Steve regulary defends those charged with crimes in Central Virginia.  Steve is certified by the IDC on felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases.  Steve has argued cases in the General District, Juvenile, Circuit, and Court of Appeals of Virginia.. Steve is currently a faculty member at the Virginia CLE Defense of Serious Traffic Cases and DUI Defense seminars where he instructs other lawyers on how to practice in DUI, hit and run, reckless driving and other cases, and has taught at the Commonwealth Attorney’s Services Council Spring Institute, the Virginia State Police Academy and the Henrico Police Academy.. Steve joined Winslow & McCurry in 2013 after serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for five and one half years.  He was an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Loudoun County for two years, before serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Henrico County.  As an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Steve prosecuted every type of case, with a focus on serious traffic cases, DUI, DUI-Drug/Blood Draw cases and traffic fatality cases.. Born and raised in Burke, Virginia, Steve attended the College of William and Mary with a major in Public Policy.  After college, he attended the TC Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.  While at Richmond, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, Moot Court Team and the Journal of Law and Public Interest.  Upon graduation, he was awarded the Trial Advocacy Award from the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.. Steve enjoys boating, baseball, hockey and guitar and playing intramural sports with River City Sports and Social Club.

Sarah L. McCurry is a founding partner in the law firm of Winslow & McCurry, PLLC.  Sarah is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Florida.  Sarah graduated Cum Laude from Stetson University College of Law, focusing her studies on civil matters and earning membership into the honors society Phi Delta Phi.  Sarah began her career in Florida working for a commerical litigation firm.  Since early 2009, Sarah has practiced in the Richmond Area.  With Winslow & McCurry, PLLC her focus remains in the civil arena, representing both small businesses and individuals in the Richmond community.

Mr. Homiller concentrates his law practice in the areas of criminal, traffic and DUI defense, divorce and family law, and personal injury.  For the last 20 years, he has practiced regularly in the courts of central and southern Virginia, including Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield, Richmond City, Caroline, Spotsylvania, Powhatan, Goochland, Brunswick, Southampton, Dinwiddie, Prince George, Sussex, Greensville/Emporia, Charles City, New Kent, Cumberland, Amelia and Prince Edward, and the cities of Colonial Heights and Petersburg. Mr. Homiller has represented adults and juveniles at every level of state court and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.. Currently, Mr. Homiller is licensed to practice in all  Virginia state courts, as well as the United States Eastern and Western District Courts of Virginia. Charles is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Henrico County Bar Association, the Chesterfield Bar Association, the Richmond Criminal Bar and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.. Mr. Homiller graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Latin. While attending college, he was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa. Mr. Homiller earned his law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where he was named to the Order of the Barristers. During law school, Mr. Homiller actively participated in moot court and won the Best Brief Award at the 2002 Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition.. During his time at Hampden-Sydney, Mr. Homiller became active with the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad by providing emergency medical care to the residents of Farmville, Virginiaand the surrounding counties. Mr. Homiller continued this work upon graduating from college by working as a paramedic for the Richmond Ambulance Authority. While he is no longer actively involved in emergency medical services, Charles continues to serve as the legal advisor to the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad. In his spare time, Mr. Homiller is an avid pianist and is also an enthusiastic basketball player and golfer, and enjoys all types of outdoor activities. Charles is married and has two sons.

Jim Williams is a summa cum laude graduate of George Mason University school of law who began representing injured plaintiff’s in 1999.  A veteran litigator, he has tried more than one hundred personal injury jury cases and was appellate counsel in Virginia’s leading scientific evidence case, Tittsworth v. Robinson. Jim Williams joined Burnett & Williams in 2006 as the lead partner in the Richmond area, with offices in Midlothian and Hopewell, Virginia. He is a regular contributor of law journal articles on personal injury law and litigation issues. Jim’s wealth of experience in insurance coverage matters provides invaluable expertise in an insurance-driven legal environment that becomes more complex each year.

Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, I have been practicing law for twenty-nine years. I live in Henrico County with my wife and college-age son.
