The case, filed by the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District, sought $50 million in damages from Mitsubishi for alleged defects in the retractable roof, which Mitsubishi constructed. Mitsubishi denied liability and filed a counterclaim seeking additional costs incurred in constructing the roof due to material changes made to the roof's design by the Baseball Park District's architect-of-record after Mitsubishi bid the job. In late 2004, following three years of contentious litigation, the parties attemptedmediation. After three days of mediation involving 22 attorneys from seven states, a settlement was reached in January 2005, resulting in Mitsubishi paying nothing on the Baseball Park District’s claims and receiving $18 million on its counterclaim.. • Also represented Mitsubishi, post verdict and on appeal, in connection with the insurance issues presented in the ironworker death cases likewise brought in Milwaukee County Circuit Court arising out of the construction of Miller Park. Kristin was raised in Mequon and has lived most of her adult life in the greater Milwaukee area.  Kristin received her bachelor’s degree in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she majored in philosophy, was on the UWM Dance Team, National Ski Patrol, and a paralegal and officer of the UWM University Legal Clinic.  In 2007, Kristin received her J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she served as the founding president of the WMCL Golf Club.. After graduation, Kristin served as law clerk to a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge and worked as a law clerk with the Law Office of Frank Joseph Schiro, Ltd. during summers of 2004-2006, and has worked in that office as an attorney since 2008.. Kristin’s favorite “away from the office” hobbies include reading, gardening, and boating.

Attorney Kirk M. Fedewa is an associate attorney with Watton Law Group. His legal practice focuses on consumer bankruptcy in Wisconsin. Mr. Fedewa received his law degree from Marquette University in 2014 and his undergraduate degree in Political Science, History, and Broad Field Social Sciences from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2003. Mr. Fedewa is admitted to practice in in the State Courts of Wisconsin, as well as the Eastern Federal District Court of Wisconsin.
