You need a safe place to go for answers where you won’t be personally judged. If you are shopping for a lawyer, you may notice that many lawyer’s sites have pages of information about the law for you to sift through. It is my belief that you are seeking a lawyer that will be able to explain the relevant law to your situation personally. I do not find it helpful to produce pages of material for a potential client to click through in order to make myself look knowledgeable. After 37 years of practice, I have found that providing a mountain of material to a client is likely to cause stress or even fear—producing thoughts such as: Do I need to know this? Is it applicable to my case? I believe that is the lawyer’s job—not the client’s job!. My first goal in representing a client is working to break through the fear that is a natural reaction to criminal charges so that together we can build an effective and creative criminal defense. I find that a fearful client is more likely to either: not do things necessary for their defense; or actually do something that makes the situation worse. That is why I personally meet every client for a relaxed, thoughtful and informative free consultation. It is also why I personally make every court appearance in your case. I want my clients to feel comfortable and not have to experience the fear of an unknown associate suddenly appearing on the day of court.. Call me to set up a free, private and confidential consultation at our mutual convenience. As a first step to reducing fear, be assured that I will not judge you personally when we meet; rather I will honestly observe your situation with you and give you my considered assessment.

At present, 100% of my practice involves representation of injured workers under the MN Worker's Compensation Statute.

Minnesota DWI Lawyer / Oregon DUII Lawyer. ETHAN P. MEANEY is a practicing attorney licensed in Minnesota and Oregon, with a focus on DWI / DUII criminal defense. In 2005 he co-founded the criminal defense firm of Meaney & Patrin, PA (The DWI GUYS), where he defended thousands of DWI / DUI clients throughout Minnesota. During this time he has tried countless license revocation (Implied Consent), DWI vehicle forfeiture, criminal DWI, and appellate DWI cases.. Ethan Meaney loves practicing in the area of criminal DUII defense because it gives him the opportunity to assist clients in an area of law that has become too harsh on drivers, especially with regard to loss of license privileges and mandatory jail time. His goal is to make sure drivers have a voice against an increasingly unsympathetic criminal justice system.

I have helped parties resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation since 1980. I also serve as an administrative law judge.
It was difficult for me to see workers being taken advantage of by employers. That is why I legally represent workers and unions in the areas of workers compensation, and labor law. I will take the time to listen and keep the lines of communication open to ensure my clients understand what is going on with the case. I look forward to representing your rights!. Take a look at the client testimonials at
In or out of the courtroom, my ability to share a compelling story is a skill I use to advocate for clients facing problems with a former or current employer. Prior to law school I honed those skills as a television news anchor and reporter with CBS and FOX affiliates in Michigan and worked with a South African national news network in Cape Town and Johannesburg.. At my law firm, Haller Kwan LLP, I represent employees who have been treated illegally in the workplace. My empathy for workers was nurtured from an early age. My father is an immigrant from China. He arrived with the proverbial ‘nothing but the clothes on his back.’ To him, work was the only path to a better life and – quite frankly – dignity. To this day, my father serves as a role model for my advocacy.. I work hard to put my clients first, and at ease. To me, it’s personal. Spending extra time to ensure a client understands the legal process, making the additional phone call or sending the detailed email, are all part my commitment to help my clients reclaim their dignity and move forward with their lives.. I am the President on the Executive Board of the Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and maintain close ties to the Twin Cities media community socially and as a contributing columnist at Minnesota Lawyer. And, from time to time, if you’re lucky, you’ll find me slinging chop suey at my family’s Chinese restaurant in Eden Prairie.
I'm a passionate and aggressive criminal defense attorney with documented results. I fight hard for my clients, getting cases dismissed, and winning contested hearings and trials. I also negotiate successful outcomes, driven by my respectful and trusting relationships with judges and prosecutors.
I spent the majority of my career working as a prosecutor for a private firm. I worked with various counties and cities throughout the greater metro area, gaining experience with many different judges, defense attorneys, fellow prosecutors, and police agencies. After doing this for over a decade, I started to lose my passion for the work. With such large caseloads, cases - and the real people that they impact - are often just pieces of paper shuffled back and forth. Eventually I decided I wanted to use my skills to help people directly. I made the change and founded Archambault Criminal Defense because it gives me an opportunity to help the people who find themselves caught up in the criminal justice system. Now I get to help people move past their cases and get on with their lives.
I represent employees in wrongful termination claims against former employers for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, non-compete disputes, and discrimination. I also advise and negotiate employment contracts and severance agreements for employees.
I moved from New York City to Minnesota in 2003 to work for the federal court. When I left the court in 2011, I joined Minnesota's vibrant community of sole practitioners and small firms. Since 2015 I was of counsel to the probate litigation boutique Mason & Helmers, where I represented people involved in court disputes with family members over loved ones' care and estates. In 2021 I took a position at the Minnesota Judicial Branch - Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility.
I grew up in Manitowoc, WI, and from the very beginning, sports played a huge part in my life. I played baseball, basketball, and football up and through the varsity level in high school before accepting a scholarship to play collegiate baseball in Kansas City, Kansas. After one year I transferred to Viterbo University to finish my playing career. I was awarded All-Conference honors, a conference gold glove award for my play at 3rd base, and was voted as team captain my final two years.. Since I grew up in Wisconsin, I am a big Brewers, Packers, Bucks and Badgers sports fan. I love to golf, play slowpitch softball, rec basketball, and most importantly, spend time with my family. I live in Bloomington with my beautiful wife, Abby, little boy, Miles and little girl Marlayna.. Playing baseball through the college level taught me key values I use when representing my clients: determination, preparation, and passion. Growing up playing baseball taught me that preparation is necessary, and I need to be comfortable in stressful situations. The world of criminal law is fast paced, full of curve balls, and sometimes its pretty uncomfortable… but it is what I do, day in and day out. It is a big responsibility to guide a client through his or her case, and I look forward to being the one going to bat for him or her each and every time.
I grew up in a family where my father came from a very poor family of 9 children and my mother grew up in a family of 5 children. Both of them grew up in Crosby Ironton, Minnesota. Dad was so poor that the brothers had to loan their shoes and clothes to the other siblings in order to go to school. Dad saw many of the fathers of his school friends lose their lives when the mines they were working in collapsed. From that point on, he became an active advocate for the underdog and never stopped. He taught us kids to be compassionate and advocate for the families that had bad luck or less opportunities because they were poor. I had no choice but be inspired to advocate for others.. When I graduated from the U of M, women were encouraged to choose teaching, nursing and or secretarial work. I graduated from the College of Education, but longed to be a lawyer that at that time was not an acceptable choice for a woman. After the birth of my third child, women were enrolling in law school in waves. I was thrilled to join the wave and started my first year at Hamline Law School when my youngest, was 6 months old.. I graduated from law school in 1980 and after clerking in Bankruptcy Court and working in Real Estate, I started my own law firm in 1993 practicing in the area of personal injury. I have loved my life as a lawyer. I have enjoyed working with a group of terrific co-workers who have become wonderful friends. My clients will testify, that I fight very hard for them and always try to obtain the best result possible. I am most fortunate to have these opportunities.
