Michael Cimino; I have won two Montana Supreme Court appeals (In Re Felix; In Re Shennum); I have filed Petitions and Complaints to obtain Awards, Judgments and Decrees in many areas of litigation or practice, including Dissolution, Personal Injury Insurance cases, Wrongful Discharge from Employment, Montana Human Rights Discrimination Bureau, Workers Compensation Court, Social Security Hearings, and U.S. Federal District Court (civil jury trial award).. I prefer to work efficiently to avoid litigation, and to seek peace in every matter, and to find the best road toward that goal.  In the court arena, knowledge of the law, preparation, and respect for the court is primary.  I have closed multi-million dollar transactions as recently as 2019, including real estate professional practice sale cases; we resolved deed restrictions in a sale to a major Montana non-profit; and we have worked to resolve to Judgment several Decrees and Orders in several fields of litigation, including disability discrimination, vehicle collision injuries, the Montana Medical-Legal Malpractice Panel, and most other venues.. Of note is a recent result that terminated a commercial lease for a professional tenant needing to relocate, and that move was very successful for the tenant.  We have closed substantial and modest Probates and Estates, have helped set up testamentary plans for clients seeking that help, and have set up guardianships and conservatorships in certain cases that have worked extremely well.. Lucy Hansen was raised in Butte and Helena, Montana. She graduated from Carroll College and received her law degree from the University of Montana in 2002. While in law school, Lucy was a member of the Trial Team. She was awarded one of two Student Advocates of the Year Award at graduation. She is licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts. Lucy owned a solo family law practice from 2003-2006. From 2006 through 2012 she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Child Protection Unit.. In 2013 Lucy returned to private practice and family law.  She represents clients going through the difficult process of divorce and/or parenting matters.  Lucy has focused her 19+ years of legal experience on family law and child welfare and is commited to helping her clients navigate the most difficult life experiences.  She finds tremendous reward in her ability to help others.  She  equally enjoys findings ways to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom, as well as her trial practice.  Each case is unique and Lucy has the experience to determine the most cost-effective and approrpriate course for each individual clilent.  She brings passion, knowledge, and commitment to each of her cases.. I am Montana born and raised.  I have been practicing law for 23 years, and spent time in the banking industry prior to returning to law school.  My practice is limited to family law, and engaging in alternative dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration and settlement conferences).  My settlement rate exceeds 93% on an annual basis.. I am active in the Missoula community, and have served on numerous local boards, including Little League baseball, Legion Baseball, Grizzly Scholarship Association, Missoula Country Club and others.  I coached youth sports for many years.. David was born and raised in Deer Lodge, Montana, and graduated from Powell County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Montana, where he was an active member of the Davidson Honors College and the University of Montana Advocates. After completing his undergraduate education, David attended law school at the University of Montana. While in law school, David worked as a Junior Partner in the law school’s Law Firm Program, participated in the law school’s Mediation Clinic, and interned at Worden Thane, P.C. Upon graduation, David began practicing in Missoula.. David is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Montana, and volunteers for the Community Dispute Resolution Center of Missoula and the Missoula Family Law Self Help Center. He specializes in Estate Planning, Divorce and Family Law Matters, and Mediation, and practices all areas of civil law.

A Western Montana native, Cliff Irwin was raised in Troy, Montana, where his family still lives. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Washington University in 2002 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Montana in 2006. Cliff has been in private practice in Montana since 2006. Cliff's law practice revolves around complex civil litigation. Cliff's clients include independent businesses, non-profits, individuals, and families.. Cliff Irwin is married to Lindsay Irwin (also a Western Washington University graduate) and they have two children. When he is not in his office or in any of western Montana's courthouses, you can find him whitewater rafting or running the "M" trail.
