I grew up in the North East Arkansas delta country surrounded by beans, cotton, rice and mosquitoes.  My grandparents are farmers and I initially started in the estate planning field to help them keep the family farm in the family after my grandparents pass, while avoiding as much estate tax as possible. Since then I have helped many farming families including cattlemen, businesses and professional family practices set up their estate plans. We have wonderful clients all over the state. I enjoy my family and hiking with my dogs.

Hi! I’m Kerrigan, Arkansas native, born and raised in the small town of Calico Rock – which I affectionately refer to as “The Hills.” Unless you’re from the area, most people don’t know that Calico Rock is in North Central Arkansas. Almost all my large family (15 nieces and nephews large), still live in or near my hometown, so I visit “the Hills” regularly!. I attended and graduated from the only college I applied to – the University of Arkansas. Starting around junior high, being a lawyer was my career choice. My fate as an attorney was guaranteed once I chose my double majors of communication and Political Science, because those majors limited my choices to the law or education…. And I definitely don’t (I didn’t then and don’t now) have the patience to be a teacher.. One of the only cliché things about me is that I took a “gap year” after completing my undergraduate degree, moving home and working in the legal field to “be sure” about my law school plans. Even commuting over an hour each way that year, in my position at one of the few law firms within a 100-mile radius of home, could not dissuade me from law school (and law school loans)! That’s the kind of tenacity everyone deserves in their lawyer, and the tenacity I have in spades.. My “Street Law” experience that year – a term referring to common legal issues such as criminal defense, personal injury, family law, estate planning, and real estate – foreshadowed my landing at Lion Legal. A firm which, when you drill down to the basics, is a street law firm, founded on the basic principles of resolving everyday life issues with practicality, transparency, & efficiency. We often comment that we are lawyers, not therapists (and that’s true!); but the satisfaction I get from being able to help regular people like me get the best result possible, close that chapter and move on with their lives is maybe kind of close to the empathy required of a therapist? Little Rock is my home now, where I live with the most spoiled cat in the world, Marty, spending my leisure time on DIY projects and trying (unsuccessfully) to tame my fiercely competitive nature on regular Game Nights.

Dennis K. Wilson is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.  He served as a law clerk for the honorable Morris S. Arnold, Federal Appeals Court Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Judicial Circuit.  Before opening his own firm in 1996, Dennis practiced Estate Law with Miller Looney & Associates of Little Rock, Arkansas.. As a member of the Arkansas Bar Association Estate and Trust sections and Arkansas Bar Association Elder Law Legislative Review Committee, Dennis has lectured extensively on Estate Planning, Charitable Gift Planning, and Elder Law issues to attorneys, insurance professionals and other groups.  Dennis is a member of WealthCounsel, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Professional Advisors Counsel and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  He is one of a small group of attorneys in Arkansas concentrating on Asset Protection relating to Elder Law issues as well as traditional asset protection for individuals and business owners.  He practices statewide in the areas of Asset Protection, Estate Planning, Elder Law, Trusts, and Charitable Gift Planning..
