Patrick was born in Marseille, France and then lived in the South Pacific and in Canada for a number of years before moving to the United States. He obtained his B.A. with an emphasis in finance from Brigham Young University and received his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.. While at BYU, Andrew was the founder and president of the BYU Speech and Debate Club and participated in the BYU Honors Program..
