My approach to practicing law is to make it as stress-free as possible for my clients. That means that I have created an environment where working with my firm is understandable, approachable and pleasant.. I have been practicing law for approximately 15 years and my area of specialization is estate planning, which includes the drafting of wills, trusts and also handling probate matters. As mentioned previously, taking care of my clients is my top priority, and as such, I charge a flat fee for nearly all of the clients that I work with.. We do not charge for new clients consultations and I do not "bill" clients when they call me to answer a simple question! Mr. McHenry graduated cum laude from the University of
Michigan in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In
2004, he graduated second in his class, magna cum laude, from
Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where his studies
concentrated heavily on criminal defense. While in law school, Mr.
McHenry was a law review associate editor, and worked as a research
clerk for the Federal Public Defender office in Portland, Oregon.. Mr.
McHenry first joined the Law Office of Michael Levine (now Levine &
McHenry LLC) as an associate attorney in 2004. In 2006, he left private
practice to work as a staff attorney in the Portland office of
Metropolitan Public Defenders, Inc. While there, Mr. McHenry defended
hundreds of individuals charged by the State of Oregon with both
misdemeanor and felony crimes.. Mr. McHenry returned to
private practice with Mr. Levine in August of 2007, and they formed a
partnership, Levine & McHenry LLC, in 2010. Mr. McHenry continues
to focus his practice on all aspects of criminal defense as well as
civil rights litigation.. Mr. McHenry has been a featured
speaker at the Annual Conference of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers

Mr. Matthew J. Steven is licensed by the Oregon Supreme Court to serve as counsel in all of the Courts of the State of Oregon, and is also licensed by the United States District Court for the District of Oregon to serve as counsel in federal court. He graduated with high honors from Iowa State University of Science and Technology in Ames, Iowa, and from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. He clerked for the Federal Defender of Oregon, the United States District Court (Hon. Stacie F. Beckerman), and provided pro bono legal services to indigent people. He has served the courts and community as a juvenile court lawyer, an appellate attorney, and as a public defender. His practice has, until recently, been largely focused on litigation and trial work. He has had an unusually winning trial practice, drawing praise from colleagues, judges, and opponents for his strong work ethic, expansive knowledge of the science of persuasion, and good tactical judgment.

Mr. MacMillan's practice focuses on real estate transactions and a wide range of litigation matters, including property and contract disputes. He has represented and advised, among others, property owners, buyers, sellers, real estate brokers, and homeowners associations. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Congregation Bet Ha’am (South Portland, Maine) from 2007-2013, and continues to serve the Congregation in various capacities.

Mr. Dubois is the managing attorney at the Law Firm of Vogel & Dubois. Mr. Allen is the managing partner of Warren Allen LLP. He also heads its real estate department. Megan McVicar is an associate at Hoevet Olson Howes, PC. Megan began her career as a legal assistant in 2002, working on various criminal matters in state and federal court. She joined our firm as a paralegal in 2005, where she continued to provide litigation support, working extensively on cases involving complex discovery issues and providing trial assistance in both state and federal criminal cases. Matt was born and raised in Portland. He moved to Seattle, Washington to attend the University of Washington School of Law on an academic scholarship. At the University of Washington, Matt volunteered for the Child and Youth Advocacy Clinic, where he worked with children in the dependency system throughout the State of Washington, as well as homeless youth in Seattle’s University District. Prior to law school, Matt graduated from the University of Oregon where he received a B.S. in Political Science.
