My practice focuses on civil litigation, business start-up and organization, real estate transactions, landlord/tenant issues, estate planning, and probate.  I advise individuals, businesses, and other organizations on a range of legal matters.  I also handle litigation matters, including commercial disputes, personal injury cases, and insurance claims.  My background in land development and professional services marketing helps me to understand that my clients need advice that will help them identify risks and make informed decisions.  I also know that clients expect and deserve the utmost professionalism from an attorney, and I strive always to be a responsive and courteous advocate in all of my dealings on behalf of my clients.. My wife and I moved to Portland in 2008 from Denver, Colorado.  As much as we enjoyed Colorado, we are so happy to be working and living here in the great state of Oregon.  I love practicing law here, and nothing is more satisfying that achieving the best possible results for my clients.  When we're not working, my wife and I spend most of our free time chasing after our twin toddlers as they explore and learn about the many natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest.

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and enjoy all this area has to offer.  In my free time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing and a multitude of other outdoor activities with my family and friends.  In addition, we have become avid Portland Thorns fans and look forward to the start of each new NWSL season.

I enjoy meeting new clients, learning how I can serve their needs, and working collectively to analyze the situation and come up with strategies to deal with complex legal issues in an effective and cost efficient manner.  I often provide a free initial consultation where, whenever possible, I estimate my fees for the legal project.. Outside of the office, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our young daughters and American Eskimo dog.
