I was born in Renton, Washington in 1964. Most of my life I lived in Auburn, Washington and graduated from Auburn Senior High School in 1982. In 1989 I started working in the legal industry as a paralegal/office manager in a small office in south King County. I loved working in the area of law, but after several years I realized that I wanted to become more involved in the cases than just being a paralegal. I continued working and started going to night school to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. In 2004 I graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Sociology and a minor in Communications. After that it was on to law school at Seattle University where I graduated in 2008.My work experience has given me a vast area of knowledge. In 1988 I left government work and joined what was then known as Holm, Mogren & Glessner, where I learned the finer points of criminal defense, family law and estate planning.  I stayed there for two years before I left to take over as director of a non-profit organization - Young Life -- on the Olympic Peninsula.  After six years, I returned to the practice of law.  I owned my own firm in Clallam County where I received the Distinguished Service Award in 2000 and was elected President of the Clallam County Bar Association in 2007.  My practice on the peninsula continued until 2012 when my husband retired fromt he Washington State Patrol and we returned to King County..
