I truly enjoy practicing law, and helping clients solve legal issues. When I meet with someone, I make it a point to explain legal issues in an understandable way.. If we are discussing a complex Will or Trust, or maybe a holding company structure for a business, I usually draw a diagram on the whiteboard during our meeting, which helps to clarify the legal structure in a more practical way.. Many clients have told me that they really appreciated the way I was able to make the legal process understandable and "painless" for them.. I am also especially sensitive to the need for caring advice when assisting clients who have experienced the loss of a loved one, and need help with Probate of an estate.. I travel frequently and have done extensive research into world religions, ancient mythology, cosmology, metaphysics and what modern physics and the scientific method teaches us about each epistemology as applied to the universe as we now know it to be.  I also research the latest developments on the human brain, its cognitive tendencies, new structural discoveries and pattern recognition behavior, including utilization of such techniques as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).. I am an avid scuba diver and have experienced several shark dives.  I am a former private pilot. I regularly ride big cruiser motorcycles about the nation. I work out consistently and try to average at least one 5k run monthly.  My MBA focused on statistical analysis, so, I enjoy trading the stock market, equities, bonds, and options trading.

I specialize in criminal defense. I have never practiced any other type of law and, honestly, I don’t think I ever will. My mom always tells me that ever since I was young, I hated seeing anyone being picked on and I would immediately jump to their defense. My disdain for bullies has turned into my passion for protecting people’s rights and fighting for justice. Regardless of guilt or innocence, in my opinion, each person deserves to be treated with decency and respect. Nothing is more upsetting to me than watching prosecutors take advantage of vulnerable people. Which is why I believe it is my job to make sure that police and prosecutors are lawfully doing their jobs.. "We Won!!" wasn’t heard by Josh as a kid.. Never the sportiest fella, East Cobb, Georgia didn't inspire him to a sportsball career despite his innate athletic ability. Graduating from The Walker School in Marietta, Josh went North to Clark University, MA (Hippies, folks from New York, and SO MANY international people!). Chasing young love back to Georgia in 1998, Josh graduated from The Georgia State University College of Law in 2002 without any honors but with good memories from Mock Trial and Moot Court. And some really good friends.. Josh clerked in Cobb Superior Court (A. Grubbs), closed real estate during the boom, and then figured out that Talking was what he really liked so Josh became a Public Defender.. LOVED IT!! Participating in a system so broken was crushing. Brutal. I grew up with these folks and I saw them marched away.  It was a change moment for me.  I needed a new direction.. Basing my career on Ben Franklin’s “Doing Well by Doing Good,” I went to work saving souls in the belly of the Fulton Beast as a PD.  I had an office at the Rice Street Jail with an access code and giant brass key. Seriously... I wanted to help folks like me who ended up sideways with the world, but didnt have the same "opportunities" I had being raised in the burbs by brilliant and successful parents..
