Talia Goetting graduated from Michigan State University, Magna Cum Laude, in 1996 and was awarded a full-merit scholarship from Michigan State College of Law in 2000. While at the College of Law, she was selected to be part of the elite Fieger Trial Practice Institute.  In 2004, she earned her Juris Doctor degree with honors and received a certificate from the Trial Practice Institute.  During law school, Talia worked for the Attorney General for the State of Michigan as a research and legislative assistant.  Upon graduation, she continued working for the Attorney General’s office as an Assistant Attorney General. I worked in the Wayne County Juvenile Court in Detroit for 5 years and spent another 4 years working in non-profits assisting foster youth transition out of the foster care system.  What I learned doing this work has allowed me to bring a unique understanding of how family law issues specifically impact children..
