I grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University. In 1987, I received a Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. From 1987 to 1993 I served as an assistant state’s attorney with the Lake County States Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, I handled all types of criminal cases including DUIs, drugs, sex offenses, white collar crimes and crimes of violence including homicide. In 1993, I went into private practice and became a partner at Noonan, Perrillo and Polenzani where I practiced in both criminal and civil litigation. In 2013, I became a partner at Fox, Lunardi, Zeit & Polenzani, a preeminent Lake County litigation firm.. I am a father of two and past school board president, as well as a former youth football coach. I continue to serve as the Waukegan Teen Court Judge, a volunteer position which I have held for over 10 years.. Since 2010, I have been the co-chair of the "Breast Fest" fundraising concert supporting the Avon Breast Cancer Walk and am a member of the Breast Fest of Champions fundraising team.

I am in my 19th year of the practice of law. I spent my first two years of my career as a prosecutor with the Lake County State’s Attorneys Office. For the last 17 years I have almost exclusively practiced in the area of workers compensation. I do also handle criminal cases for clients in need.. I began my workers compensation career defending Employers and Insurance companies against such claims. However, for the past 4 years, I have “put on the white hat” and devoted all of my efforts to representing the Rights of Injured Workers. I have extensive experience before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission and have become a respected member of this exclusive legal community. I have been previously selected by my peers as a “Rising Star” within the Top 2.5 percent of lawyers concentrating in the area of workers compensation law. I have been a long time member of the Illinois Workers Compensation Lawyers Association.. I was born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1971 and grew up in Wadsworth, Illinois where I attended St. Patrick’s grade school. I went on to high school and graduated from Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois. In 1990, I went off to Michigan State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Pre-Law. I received my Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 1998.  I was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois in 1998 and was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 1999.
