Thomas M. Before law school, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical writer where I wrote regulatory documents that supported applications submitted to government agencies for the approval of new and generic drugs used to treat a variety of illnesses and conditions. My experience in working in this highly regulated environment led me to leave science in pursuit of a legal career.. As a scientist and now as an attorney, my passion is, and has always been, to serve as an advocate for people facing difficult, often life-changing, issues. My background of personal and professional experience is both unique and complimentary to my practice areas, which includes mainly criminal defense and immigration law.

Matthew D. Melewski is an accomplished litigator who has successfully argued cases and appeals in state and federal courts throughout the country. Matthew also counsels clients on regulatory and environmental matters.  He has handled more proceedings involving the regulation of ballast water than any attorney in the country, and in successful Clean Water Act litigations alone, has pioneered novel legal theories and procedural strategies, and argued first-of-their-kind cases. Evan R. Berman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in philosophy, and then went on to graduate magna cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. He has practiced law for over 12 years.  He has served as Associate General Counsel for Factory Motor Parts, a privately held company based in Eagan, Minnesota, and Hawkins, Inc., a public corporation based in Roseville, Minnesota. As Associate General Counsel, he represented his companies in a wide variety of commercial matters, including contract drafting, negotiations, resolutions of disputes, and risk mitigation. He has used his experience to instruct other in-house counsel regarding how best to transfer risk through strategic contract drafting. Elliot Ginsburg practices in the area of franchise and distribution law. He has resolved numerous disputes between franchisees and franchisors and distributors and suppliers.
