In addition, I routinely handle international divorces and international custody cases, Hague cases, and interstate disputes. I also represent parents in juvenlle cases (dependency and neglect), and guardianship cases. Commit your time and energy to the people who will remember that you made a difference.. My life-long passion is families. As a Marriage and Family counselor, I have provided help to families in conflict for over thirty years. After spending time raising my children and caring for my parents, I decided to go to law school. I transferred my talent helping families to the exclusive practice of Family Law Matters.. I love helping people become self-assured and take control of their life. I am an excellent listener and straight forward communicator- maybe too straight forward at times. I work hard for my clients in an effort to restore balance and happiness in their lives.. In matters of Divorce. Although I love the organization it takes to take a case to trial, it is my preferred practice to help my clients resolve issues before relying on the court to decide their family’s fate. As a skilled legal counselor and licensed mediator, I understand and appreciate the power it provides my client to determine his/her own future.. However, we are never able to control the temperament of the other party and there are times when there is no way to agree without the help of the court. If a trial is our only option I am prepared, organized and gifted to tell your story to the judge.. In matters of Probate. Probate is a family matter. It requires good listening skills and attention to detail. Sometimes dealing with family matters at the end of life are complicated. Bringing families together to understand the process means exercising frequent communication.. Planning your will and estate is equally important to me. I know from personal experience that your family will appreciate your attention to detail and I enjoy discussing your intentions and making them a reality. I always encourage families to talk about the plans you have made; you would be surprised how much that can mean to generations.. I have always been an active member of the Central Florida community. I grew up here. I have perfected the art of being a professional volunteer and provided countless hours to organizations such as the Orange County Public Schools, Episcopal Counseling Center, College Park Neighborhood Association, Boy Scouts of America and Citrus Counsel for Girl Scouting. Currently, I focus the majority of my time practicing law because it is as much a hobby as it is a job to me. I am a member of Orange County Bar Association, Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, The Elder Law Committee, Family Inn of Court and the Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida. I participate in many leadership roles in these organizations.
I have been practicing exclusively in the area of Family Law and Domestic Relations for my entire career. After graduating from the University of Denver law school, I accepted a fellowship position with the Eighteenth Judicial District in Colorado working exclusively in Family Law and Domestic Relations with the Honorable Judge Angela R. Arkin. The fellowship experience allowed me to see the judges’ perspective and how judges dealt with and analyzed issues. Working closely with judges taught me that good advocacy, preparation, and aggressive representation is very important to reach resolutions in or out of the courtroom.. I believe strongly that family law attorneys must do everything they can to minimize the emotional turmoil that divorcing families go through. Divorce is a difficult thing and if you have to go through with it, then you deserve the right attorney by your side. I approach each Client’s case as the completely unique situation that it is. Sensitivity and understanding sometimes resolve family law matters without the need of the court’s involvement; however, in other circumstances, the case calls for aggressive and persistent advocacy. My job will be to assess your particular factual situation, your goals, and objectives in order to work with you on developing a legal strategy that will allow us to address your situation and meet your needs.. Through my legal education, experience, and litigation skills, I look forward to successfully helping you through the complicated legal system while making sure that your integrity and peace of mind remain intact.

I am passionate about helping you through all of your life transitions – from cradle to grave. I’ve been an attorney since 1994, when I was graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. I first began the practice of law in Scott County, Missouri as the only public defender assigned to the entire county. After two years in the rural area, my family and I moved to the Kansas City metro area where I joined the Department of Social Services representing the Children’s Division in child abuse and neglect cases. After 8 years with the Department of Social Services, I joined the Earnshaw Hobbs Law Firm PC to continuing and broaden my advocacy skills on behalf of families and children. After almost 6 years with Earnshaw Hobbs, I opened my own firm, Kiske Law Office, LLC, in Zona Rosa. I am licensed in both Missouri and Kansas (and hold an inactive license in Illinois). Because I also like to challenge myself, I am usually engaged in one or two large “extra-curricular” activities. Currently, I am privileged to serve on the Board of Directors for MARCH mediation. I am also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts, and I have received the AVVO client’s choice award for Family Law in 2014. In my “free time” I volunteer for a hospice organization where I play flute duets for patients in hospice.. I am also grateful for my personal life experiences that have enabled me to be empathetic with my clients. I have personally been through a divorce with children, experienced the death of a parent, and many of the life transitions that we all experience.. At the Kiske Law Office, LLC, I am responsible for child custody cases, child abuse cases, divorces, paternities, guardianships, and traffic matters, and simple estate planning. I developed the Mobile Lawyer Services to more effectively meet the needs of our aging and disabled clients. I truly enjoy helping clients resolve their parenting and other legal issues. I am grateful for the opportunity to counsel clients on issues related to their family, children and loved ones.
