Patricia Baugher is an experienced attorney focusing exclusively on family law cases.  Prior to forming Luminosity Law (formerly Baugher Law Firm) in 2006, she was an associate at a downtown Seattle law firm, mentored by some of the most respected family law attorneys in the area.  Patricia is known for providing compassionate support to her clients while zealously advocating for them in an amicable settlement, or, if necessary, at trial.  She is a “double-dawg,” having received both her undergraduate (1982) and law degrees (2001) from the University of Washington, where she was Associate Editor-in-Chief to the Washington Law Review.   Her life experience brings a unique insight to her approach to family law, including a commitment to minimize the impact on children of divorce and parental conflict through carefully considered parenting plans.  Ms. Baugher represents parties to dissolutions (both amicable and high-conflict cases) as well as parenting and child support modifications, and actions for unmarried parents to establish parenting plans and/or child support.

Michael Savage joined Luminosity Law (formerly Baugher Law Firm) in 2008. Starting out at the front desk, he eventually worked his way up, excelling in all aspects of both paralegal and firm operations. Enjoying his work and helping clients in need, he decided to further his legal education and on-the-job experience by entering Washington State’s APR 6 Law Clerk program. While studying under Patricia Baugher as both his tutor and mentor (and mom), he gained a wellspring of valuable real-life, hands-on experience not available in law school. After soundly passing the bar exam on his first attempt, he was admitted to the practice of law in 2022.. Having well over fourteen (14) years of legal experience prior to becoming an attorney, Michael understands just how difficult and challenging divorce and custody issues can be. Using his major in psychology from the University of Washington, he takes both a holistic and quasi-therapeutic approach for his clients. Over 90% of family law cases end in a settlement between the parties. In order to achieve his client’s goals, Michael will take every opportunity to try to mend broken bridges with the other party to find amicable solutions that are in the best interests of the child(ren) and all parties involved. Michael believes the best outcomes are when the parties can find a way to work cooperatively, especially when children are involved.
