My name is Baxter Zaiger and I am a criminal defense attorney licensed in the State of Minnesota. I graduated cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in December of 2018. While in law school, I was an editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review, law clerk at a criminal defense firm, and teacher to first year law students. My passion for criminal defense goes beyond representing people through the justice system, I believe in educating my clients so that they know what to expect when it comes to court proceedings as well as engaging with law enforcement.. Before attending law school, I gradutated from the University of Minnesota where I studied political science as well as economics. I was also the president of the Economic Student Organization where we focused on pairing students with Fortune 500 Internships. I also had the great opportunity of creating a scholarship for economic students who showed the most "GRIT.". Outside of the law I enjoying going on walks with my wife and dog, fishing, and watching movies. I am also an avid college wrestling fan.

I am a trial lawyer and am certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Criminal Law Specialist. I am a Winona native and attended Winona Senior High School, Winona State University and the University of Minnesota Law School. I practiced with a national law firm in Minneapolis for several years before returning to Winona in 1988 and joining the law firm of Darby, Delano and Price. While with the firm, I tried a number of major felony cases, including robbery, narcotics, burglary, assault and criminal sexual conduct. In addition, I successfully represented many injured persons in accident and negligence cases. I left the firm in 1993 to enter government service with the Third Judicial District Public Defenders Office, where I served as Chief Trial Lawyer, handling serious felony trials across southern Minnesota. I left government service in 2003 to join with Michael J. Price and John Paul Plachecki to form the law firm of Price, McCluer and Plachecki.. I have been lead counsel in over 250 jury trials, including homicide, robbery, kidnapping, narcotics, criminal sexual conduct, burglary and assault.. Outside of legal practice, I served as a faculty member at Winona State University from 1988 to 2011. I am active in teaching traditional Japanese martial arts, and serve as counsel, officer and board member for several non-profit organizations.

Beau received his undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a member of the Minnesota State and the Winona County Bar Associations.. Beau represents clients in criminal defense, DUI/DWI cases, family law, landlord/tenant disputes, debt collection, and real estate matters.. Beau is married and has four wonderful children. He enjoys playing and watching sports and is very active in the community. Beau has served as Vice President on the Board of Directors at Ready Set School and has served as President on the Board of Directors at the Winona Community Foundation. Also, he was a member of the Young Professionals of the Chamber of Commerce.

After working in a firm for the first four years out of law school, Candice opened her own law practice in Sparta, Wisconsin.  While she thoroughly enjoyed the six years she spent working across multiple counties and a wide range of legal areas, Candice sought and received a judicial appointment to complete a term as La Crosse County Circuit Court Branch 5 Judge.  Now that her term has concluded, Candice has returned to private practice with increased skill and knowledge to better serve her clients.

As a former Middlesex County prosecutor, Justin Wing has extensive experience and knowledge regarding how cases are investigated, prosecuted and most importantly, defended. In addition to his time as a prosecutor, Attorney Wing also has invaluable experience working at a civil litigator at a busy personal injury firm for years adding tremendous amounts of discovery procedure and civil practice to his resume. Marcus' passion for criminal law began as an intern for the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. During his tenure, Marcus developed a working knowledge of court, prosecution, and police procedure. He expanded his knowledge of the subject while studying Criminal Justice at Bridgewater State University, where he graduated compiling multiple academic honors. He then attended University of Massachusetts School of Law as a recipient of an academic scholarship. During his time at UMass Law, Marcus was involved in several student organizations, including the Criminal Law Society, which would often educate general public about the institutions of and new developments in criminal law. Following his graduation from UMass Law, Marcus was admitted into the Massachusetts Bar as a licensed attorney.. Upon his admission to the Massachusetts Bar, Attorney Ferro launched his own solo practice, The Law Office of Marcus D.
