My family was pretty poor.  My dad died when I was just 9 years old.  When I got into the 10 grade, I got into a program that allowed me to work half a day and go to class the other half.  When I graduated from high school in 1974, I went to work in a local sawmill.  After that, I got a better job in a small oil refinery.  I worked there until April 1976, and on the 19th day of April I went to work for DuPont Chemical.. I worked the next twenty years for Dupont.  After working there for 13 plus years, I started going to college classes at night.  On December of 1995, I graduated in the top of the class with a 3.95 GPA.. I started law school in August 1996, and graduated in February of 1999.  Upon graduation, my wife and I threw a dart at a map and ended up here.  Central Texas is my home.  I love it here and I intend to retire here.. Lisa Rasmussen Hoing received her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska in 2002. Lisa specialized in both the Criminal Litigation Skills Track and Civil Litigation Skills Track during her tenure at the University. After graduation, she was deputized as a Deputy County Attorney in Dawson County and was responsible for the prosecution of criminal cases, juvenile cases, and mental health cases. Lisa was also responsible for providing legal advice to law enforcement agencies and acting as county coroner during on-call hours.. In 2007, Lisa relocated to Austin, Texas to be closer to family. Born and raised in Childress County, Texas in 1953, I graduated from Texas Christian University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and then gruaduated from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1978. After practicing law in Fort Worth for several years, I returned to my hometown of Childress, Texas where I opened my office in 1992 and have been practicing ever since..
