I am a partner at Deno Millikan Law Firm, PLLC. I’m a trial lawyer, and I use my legal skills to help my clients in a broad variety of cases. I’ve been honored by the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon by serving as Note and Comment Editor of the Willamette Law Review.. I’ve been identified as a Washington State “Super Lawyer” by Washington Law and Politics Magazine in 2003. I’ve been active in the Snohomish County Bar Association, and in 2010 served as Trustee, being elected as Vice President in 2011, and the Snohomish County Bar President for the year 2012. I continually work with other attorneys and in seminars to develop better and better trial skills. Part of that work has been through training offered to trial attorneys in the Spence Trial Lawyers College regional programs. The fact is, that most legal trials are battles involving the mind, persuasion and advocacy, but often not recognized is the fact that trials become matters of the heart as well. Developing these skills and my caring for my clients’ issues has been the key to success for me, and for my clients.. Snohomish County is the place where I was born and the place where I grew up. This community shaped my vision of who I wanted to be in the world and how I wanted to live. The values that I grew up with are the value of hard work and the satisfaction that comes from hard work, the value of integrity in dealing with my clients, my associates, the Courts and opposing attorneys. Finally, I was taught and enjoy the happiness that comes from helping someone else. These values led me to become a lawyer, and these values are a cornerstone of who I am as a lawyer and in helping my clients resolve their important and difficult problems.. My work as a trial lawyer encompasses a variety of legal areas, most of which may require a skilled negotiator or advocate at trial. Complex divorces, personal injury cases, and difficult commercial and business problems occupy the bulk of my legal time.However, we live in a community that has a lot of non-trial problems, involving leases, contracts, land disputes, and all sorts of other problems. Helping my clients solve their weighty problems is one of my favorite parts of the legal profession.  I also serve as an arbitrator with Snohomish County’s Mandatory Arbitration Program.. I always knew that I would return to Everett after finishing law school, to raise my family here. I love being able to share the same things with my daughter that I enjoyed as a kid. Whether it is skiing at Stevens Pass with my family and friends, walking though the Evergreen State Fair on a rainy August afternoon or hauling in a crab pot off Whidbey Island, this is the place that grounds me.. Jon is an experienced litigator licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC. After college, Jon served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a defense contractor at the United States Army installation at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Jon attended the Catholic University of America School of Law where he was an active member of the Society of Trial Advocates and Moot Court.. After law school, Jon joined the City of Alexandria Public Defender’s Office where he handled thousands of cases. He represented clients charged with all manner of criminal misdemeanors and felonies, with a special focus on domestic violence cases. Prior to forming Bourdon & Tortolero, Jon worked at a law firm in downtown Washington, DC. Jon served as the firm’s managing attorney and represented clients in family law, immigration and criminal and traffic matters. David Hagan is an associate at Wade, Grimes, Friedman, Meinken & Leischner, PLLC, practicing both family law and criminal defense. As a family law attorney, Mr. Hagan handles all aspects of domestic relations cases, such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, settlement agreements, property rights, post-divorce disputes, and close relative and step-parent adoptions. He handles misdemeanor criminal defense, including traffic and DUI cases, and assists the partners with felony cases.. Prior to joining Wade, Grimes, Friedman, Meinken & Leischner, PLLC, Mr. Hagan was a paralegal for a small family law firm for several years. There, he helped conduct legal research on mostly family law-related topics, prepared pleadings and assisted in trial preparation, litigated a post-divorce dispute, met with clients regarding their cases and more. Mr. Hagan received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. During his time there, he served as a student advisor in the George Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic, where he provided pro bono legal assistance to veterans and their families on issues such as civil contract disputes, veterans discharge upgrades, adoptions, consumer warranty concerns, and other matters.

Sophia Woolery is a Partner at Wechsler Becker, LLP practicing exclusively in the area of family law. Sophia approaches each of her cases with pragmatism, empathy, preparedness, and care. Ms. Moomau is a principal partner with the Family First Law Group. Previously, Ms. Moomau was a partner at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, PLLC. Ms. Moomau represents clients in the General District Courts, Circuit Courts and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts in the Northern Virginia area.. I've been an attorney for 24 years and I have litigated approximately 250 appellate cases in the Washington Court of Appeals, Washington Supreme Court, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as lead attorney. I focus on family law appeals and also have a background in criminal appeals. The keys to my practice are a commitment to thoroughly understanding each case, a high standard of legal scholarship and a client relationship focus.
