TThomas was born in Las Vegas, NV and was raised in Boulder City, NV. He studied Political Science at Southern Utah University. After graduating from SUU, Thomas worked as a Legislative Assistant at the Utah State Capital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked on legislation concerning immunization requirements, education, and child safety which ultimately inspired Thomas to work in family law and issues surrounding children.. Thomas attended law school at Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. During law school, he worked in a variety of clerkships handling child support, restraining orders, and estate planning. Since law school, Thomas has had the privilege to Clerk for the Honorable Beth A. Allen at the Multnomah County Courthouse and has been practicing family law exclusively since 2020.. As a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division Service to the Public Committee, Thomas gives back to his community by providing educational resources about the legal system to underrepresented and under privileged communities. Mike has been with Vial Fotheringham since 2002. In that time, he's worked with other members of the firm on a number of complex litigation matters, including several of the largest residential construction defect cases in Oregon history. I was a military wife for 18 years, travelling to many places throughout the United States and Europe.  It was a fascinating experience and taught me about different cultures and people.  I use that experience in my law practice.  I try to focus on more than just a person's legal issues.  I feel it is important to help a client stay calm and focused during a time in their lives when so much may seem to be out of control.. I began my education while stationed at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom.  I finished my bachelors of science degree, graduating cum laude, at Auburn University, Montgomery, in Montgomery, Alabama.  I finished my education in 2014, getting my law degree at the University of Oregon.  I passed the bar in 2014 and have been practicing continuously since that time..
