I feel strongly about bringing civility back to the legal profession. I believe in respectful and goal oriented negotiations and have therefore elected to focus my practice on mediation and collaborative law. I have almost 40 years of experience as a family law attorney and have been an active mediator and  collaborative attorney for over 23 years. I see the positive results of a mediation and collaborative divorces versus the negative ones in the litigated divorce, reminding me of the benefits to the spouses and children that mediation and  collaboration provides.. In 1984, I graduated from the Ohio Northern University School of Law; I received my undergraduate college degree in English from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York. I volunteer as a Special Master for Matrimonial Matters in Hartford, New Britain, and Middletown courts as well as the Regional Custody Trial Docket in Middletown. I am a founding member and co-chair of the Central Connecticut Collaborative Family Law Group and founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association; a member of the Collaborative Divorce team of Connecticut, a member of the Connecticut Council for Non Adversarial Divorce, a member of the Connecticut Bar Associations and the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners I also serve as a guest speaker for Collaborative Training and have served as an instructor for The People’s Law School.  I am a life-time James Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation. Attorney Kelly Dodd leads our family law and appellate practice groups, managing and overseeing cases all over the state of Wisconsin. She has handled cases involving divorce, annulment, legal separation, child custody, placement, spousal support, property division and more. Attorney Dodd has drafted and defended prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Attorney Dodd has historically specialized in complex and high-asset matters, including a case where the assets exceeded $140 Million. Her extensive experience has led her to appear in Wisconsin trial courts in more than a dozen counties. She has argued and won in front of the Wisconsin Supreme court and has briefed and argued cases in the Court of Appeals.. With 20 years’ experience, I concentrate my practice in the areas of commercial litigation and health care law.. I have a broad-based litigation practice before state, federal, administrative tribunals and arbitration panels.  My practice includes extensive experience  in contract, construction, leasing, employment and general litigation matters.  I co-author The Litigators’ Blog writing on current litiation topics for the Krokidas & Bluestein website.  I have also written for several publications on topics relating to my practice areas.. In my health care and non-profit practice, I provide regulatory and general counseling to non-profit and for-profit health care and social service institutional providers, as well as licensed practitioners, on a variety of matters.   My experience includes HIPAA and privacy matters, Tarasoff issues, fraud and abuse, credentialing and privilege disputes.  Advising institutional clients that include hospitals, community health centers, nursing homes and other providers on governance, employment, compliance, administrative appeals, survey matters and ethical issues.. I also represent providers in licensing and discipline matters before various boards of registration, as well as government and private insurers.  I have substantial experience conducting internal investigations regarding employment, billing, potential false claims, compliance and ethics issues and reporting and self-disclosure under self-disclosure protocols and corporate integrity agreements.

I am a member in the Seattle office where I chair the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. My practice emphasizes environmental remedial actions and sediment cleanups, environmental contribution litigation, and toxic tort litigation. I also have substantial experience in the areas of product liability and landslide/geologic movement litigation. I have represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the state of Washington. I was named by Seattle Magazine as one of Seattle’s “Top Lawyers” in Environmental Law, 2003. I have also been recognized by the Seattle Met magazine as a “Top Lawyer” in Environmental Law for 2010, a designation based upon Martindale-Hubbell's ranking of those practitioners in King County who have been judged by their peers to be “AV Preeminent”—the highest peer-review rating available.. In 2007, I was lead counsel in two lengthy trials involving CERCLA and MTCA liability and remediation issues, including the unique question of whether wood waste in a marine environment constituted a CERCLA or MTCA “hazardous substance.”. I am currently lead counsel on two sites that are some of the first to be pursued by Washington State under the Puget Sound Initiative.. I have represented clients in seven environmental and toxic tort class action lawsuits.. I have represented national and international corporations in environmental regulatory and contribution/cost recovery lawsuits. I have handled a wide variety of environmental cases involving PCBs, dioxin, petroleum distillates, wood preservatives, solvents, arsenic, pesticides, and heavy metals.  I also have significant experience in environmental dredging and precision dredging environmental remedial actions, and served as common counsel for a large group of companies who are remediating a hazardous waste site in Eastern Washington.. I have represented clients in environmental regulatory matters, including the investigation and remediation of soil, groundwater and sediment contamination, handling and disposal of hazardous substances, regulatory penalties and appeals.. I have represented clients in negotiations with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Washington Department of Ecology and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.. I have represented various businesses and manufacturers in toxic tort and product liability litigation.  Recently, my toxic tort work has focused on the subject of airborne contaminant (fume) claims and lawsuits relating to claimed exposure to commercial cleaning products.. I have represented clients in landslide and geologic movement lawsuits..
