I am originally from a small town in Illinois, but gravitated to the "big city" for college and law school.  I attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.  The story goes, that I have wanted to be a lawyer since the 5th grade.. After visiting the valley several times, my husband and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2006.  I have three beautiful children that keep me on my toes.  When I do have spare time, I enjoy reading, running, and golfing.. I practice exclusively in family law with experience representing clients across Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, Kane, and McHenry counties in Illinois.  I provide counsel to clients in a wide range of matters, including the negotiation and litigation of complex financial disputes, business interests, property valuation and division, maintenance (spousal support), child support, custody and parenting plans, and parentage issues.  In addition, I represent clients in the preparation of prenuptial agreements, in post-divorce issues such as enforcement and modifications of Judgments, and in civil litigation related to orders of protection and domestic violence.. I am first and foremost a planner and problem solver.   Those skills allow me to effectively resolve issues outside of court while maximizing my clients’ control over the outcome and divorce process.  Whether through litigation, attorney assisted mediation, or settlement negotiations, I approach cases from multiple angles and lenses and then tailor an individualized strategy for each client.

Keith Knochel graduated summa cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1978 and cum laude from Northwestern Law School in Chicago in 1982 where he was the Topics Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology. He was thereafter the law clerk to Chief Justice Howard C. Ryan of the Illinois Supreme Court. He is licensed in Arizona, Nevada, California and Illinois has been practicing in Mohave County since 1987 and has extensive trial and litigation experience.

Katie Leonard dedicates her practice exclusively to family law. She has successfully represented clients in simple and complex actions for divorce, child custody, support and alimony, modification of previous orders, paternity and legitimation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and contempt actions. She is trained as a Guardian ad litem and has considerable first-chair trial experience in family law, especially contested divorce actions and complex child custody cases.. As a young lawyer, Katie graduated from the State Bar’s Leadership Academy and went on to serve as the co-chair of the State Bar’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Family Law Committee from 2014 through 2016. Katie is the current President of the Cobb Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division and is a member of the 2020 class of Leadership Cobb. Attorney Eric Erickson was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He is one of five children of Dr. Mayo and Elaine Erickson. He had a passion for many subject areas in school and in fact besides law school, attended architecture school and studied medicine in the Army working as a army medic and physician assistant in the emergency room and on the trauma team of the 400 bed Eisenhower Army Medical Center.. He also attributes his competitiveness in the courtroom to his ability in sports, playing NCAA Division 1 Pac-10 tennis and football in college and playing in Satellite Pro tennis events. He also secured his USPTA teaching pro credentials.. He was selected to play on the All-Army team and All-Armed Forces Championships.. He was also chosen as an athlete to compete during the Washington State Centennial. Games in 1989 which commemorated the 100th anniversery of the State of Washington.. He lives with his wife Temple Bell on Fripp Island, SC.
