Dennis was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. It was during his years of service as a Divorce Recovery Facilitator that Dennis discovered how many women experience inadequate representation in the divorce process, and are left to make uninformed choices. Mr. Arner graduated from Central Michigan University in 1978, with honors, and from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1982, Cum Laude (with honors). Mr. Arner has been practicing law for 34 years and is a trusted member of the legal community. He started his own law practice in Charlevoix in 1983, and in 1984 moved his practice to Boyne City, his parent’s hometown.  Mr. Arner operated his law practice at 110 Water Street from 1984 until December of 2015, when he joined the Doak Law Firm on Main Street.. Mr. Arner has been the City Attorney for the City of Boyne City and township attorney for many local townships. He has served as a hearing panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board for 29 years, hearing and deciding grievances filed against other attorneys for alleged professional misconduct. He has been an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan College, teaching Legal Ethics and Law Office Management in the paralegal program. I  began  my career by working as a Research Attorney for a Family Court Judge in March 2001, after graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  After working for a Family Court Judge for five years and watching what trials do to families, I decided that I would do whatever it takes to avoid high conflict divorces that ended in divorce trials.  After joining a firm in March 2006 that had a quality reputation for their dedication in helping families through divorce as amicably as possible, I completed my Family Mediation training in April 2006 and my domestic violence training in May 2006.  I competed  Collaborative Practice training in May 2008.  I completed the ICLE Family Law Certificate Program in May of 2008.. I am now working for Gerkin & Decker, PC, with offices in Flint and Brighton.  We handle cases in Livingston, Genessee, Lapeer, Shiawassee and Oakland Counties.. I am a firm believer that when cases are mediated, especially before or soon after filing, the children are much less negatively affected by the divorce.  I believe that mediation or Collaborative Practice are a wonderful alternative to Court.  I am dedicated to being a fair and neutral mediator that will assist the parties in obtaining an agreement that both parties are able to live with.

David McCleary is a graduate of Oakland University (BS 1980) and the University of Detroit (JD 1983) and has been practicing law since 1984. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar. He has successfully argued cases of first impression before the Michigan Supreme Court and Michigan Court of Appeals and has taught at Oakland University and Cooley Law School. David O'Mara is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento.  David has been a law clerk at the Washoe County District Court and the United States Court of Federal Claims.. David is the fourth child of nine children.  He is married to Courtney Miller O'Mara and they have three children.. David has been with The O'Mara Law Firm, P.C. since its inception in 2006.. David has handled a number of cases that have established Nevada law and protected Nevada Citizens.  David's first case in private practice was a case that protected his client against her former attorney.  The Nevada Supreme Court found that the client's exempt assets (retirement funds) could not be taken by her previous attorney.. David has aggressively defended his clients when they were improperly arrested.  In a prior case, the charges against David's client were dismissed because the police did not have probable cause to pull over the client.. Child Custody cases are extremely difficult.  David accepts Nevada Law that the children are better served if the child(ren) get eqaul access and time to their parents (unless there are extraneous circumstances).. Before forming Lance White Law, I was an owner and partner of Widdis and White, a family law firm.  Prior to that, I served as a Family Court Master for the Second Judicial District Court in Washoe County. In that role, I heard over 16,000 cases involving a myriad of family law issues, including child support enforcement, domestic violence and protection orders, juvenile guardianships, and juvenile dependency cases.
