Julius is a former instructor in both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) programs. He also lectures frequently on a national basis, including speeches before the American Law Institute - American Bar Association (ALI-ABA), the International Forum, the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and numerous life insurance companies, brokerage firms and trade associations. Prior to establishing my career at Shea, Aiello & Doxsie, PLLC, I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2003. Not satisfied, I decided to continue my education at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School in August of 2004 to pursue my Juris Doctorate. While in law school, I was able to gain significant experience in both the law office and the courtroom. I worked as a law clerk for an Oakland County creditor's rights firm as well as serving as a member of the University of Detroit Mercy's Urban Law Clinic. The Urban Law Clinic provides legal services to indigent residents of the surrounding community, primarily in the City of Detroit. The Clinic was the first opportunity I had to work with elder members of society and provided the foundation for my area of practice today. In the courtroom, I served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mark S. Switalski of the Macomb County Circuit Court and participated in all courtroom functions, including drafting judicial opinions.. Upon completion of law school I sat for the Michigan Bar Exam and received my license to practice law in Michigan in November 2007. I worked in higher education and fundraising for 7 years before going to law school.  During my years in law school, I worked at a private firm and in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, and worked for the Patients Rights Council, a non-profit organization devoted to protecting the rights of the medically vulnerable.  This sparked my interest in estate planning, elder issues, and end of life medical ethics.. After graduation, I worked as in-house counsel for a biotech software company and started my solo law practice on the side.  Since then, I have left the company, renewed my affiliation with the Patients Rights Council, and expanded my law practice, focusing on serving the personal and business legal needs of the members of our community.
