Hi! I’m Kerrigan, Arkansas native, born and raised in the small town of Calico Rock – which I affectionately refer to as “The Hills.” Unless you’re from the area, most people don’t know that Calico Rock is in North Central Arkansas. Almost all my large family (15 nieces and nephews large), still live in or near my hometown, so I visit “the Hills” regularly!. I attended and graduated from the only college I applied to – the University of Arkansas. Starting around junior high, being a lawyer was my career choice. My fate as an attorney was guaranteed once I chose my double majors of communication and Political Science, because those majors limited my choices to the law or education…. And I definitely don’t (I didn’t then and don’t now) have the patience to be a teacher.. One of the only cliché things about me is that I took a “gap year” after completing my undergraduate degree, moving home and working in the legal field to “be sure” about my law school plans. Even commuting over an hour each way that year, in my position at one of the few law firms within a 100-mile radius of home, could not dissuade me from law school (and law school loans)! That’s the kind of tenacity everyone deserves in their lawyer, and the tenacity I have in spades.. My “Street Law” experience that year – a term referring to common legal issues such as criminal defense, personal injury, family law, estate planning, and real estate – foreshadowed my landing at Lion Legal. A firm which, when you drill down to the basics, is a street law firm, founded on the basic principles of resolving everyday life issues with practicality, transparency, & efficiency. We often comment that we are lawyers, not therapists (and that’s true!); but the satisfaction I get from being able to help regular people like me get the best result possible, close that chapter and move on with their lives is maybe kind of close to the empathy required of a therapist? Sharing that feeling of accomplishment and conclusion with our clients never gets old.. My time is mostly spent in the Civil and Probate Divisions at Lion Legal, but my negotiation and creative problem solving skills translate to all Lion Legal practice areas. Little Rock is my home now, where I live with the most spoiled cat in the world, Marty, spending my leisure time on DIY projects and trying (unsuccessfully) to tame my fiercely competitive nature on regular Game Nights.

I was raised in Conway, graduating from Conway High School.  I received my B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from the University of Arkansas and my law degree from the UALR Bowen School of Law.. I still reside in Conway with my wondeful wife Christin, and our two daughters, Alli (born in 2011) and Emily (born in 2013).  We are members of Fellowship Bible Church in Conway, and have been for over 25 years.. Mr. Stephens is an Accredited Attorney with the Veterans Administration specializing in Aid and Attendance Benefits for Senior Wartime Veterans and their surviving spouses.. Mr. Stephens is a native of Conway, Arkansas and graduated from Harvard University in 1984 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Economics where he served as Co-Captain of the Harvard Track Team. He received his Juris Doctorate with Honors from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1988 where he was a member of the Arkansas Law Review and served as National Student Officer of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. He has been an Arkansas licensed attorney since 1988 and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.

Jarred Kibbey co-founded Natural State Law, PLLC.. Prior to opening the firm, Jarred served a wide array of organizations from large not-for-profit insurance companies, to small privately held companies where he worked directly with some of the largest employers and most respected health systems in the country to create innovative business solutions to complex problems.. Jarred also served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Arkansas Department of Health and Senior Healthcare Advisor to Governor Hutchinson.. I concentrate my practice on helping people with their estate planning. After two decades of practicing law, I gravitated towards this area for two reasons. The first is that it allows me to help people avoid problems on the front end, rather than just help them cope after problems arise. The second reason is that it allows me to spend a lot of my time teaching and sharing information with my clients instead of arguing with other lawyers. I also am available to speak to groups and organizations interested in the areas of will, trusts, and estate planning.

I grew up in the North East Arkansas delta country surrounded by beans, cotton, rice and mosquitoes.  My grandparents are farmers and I initially started in the estate planning field to help them keep the family farm in the family after my grandparents pass, while avoiding as much estate tax as possible. Since then I have helped many farming families including cattlemen, businesses and professional family practices set up their estate plans. We have wonderful clients all over the state. I enjoy my family and hiking with my dogs.

I was born in Ruston, Louisiana before moving to Mandeville, Louisiana in 2005, one month before Hurricane Katrina, one of the most devastating natural disasters in U.S. history. My family’s experience with criminal law issues was the motivation for my becoming a defense attorney. I have personal experience with the kind of effects criminal matters can have on a family unit both physically and emotionally.. I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Finance in 2014. I decided I wanted a change of scenery in 2016 when I decided to enroll at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. My wife and I love living in central Arkansas and have put down roots here.. While in law school, I had the opportunity of being exposed to criminal law while working for an attorney in North Little Rock. It took me some time to realize that my passion was not in Finance and Accounting, my first career, but that it actually resided in criminal law and domestic relations.. My criminal practice primarily involves defending misdemeanors, probation/parole matters and expungements but I also assist Mr. McKay in his complex felony cases. In addition, I maintain a domestic relations practice, which includes divorces, dissolution, child custody, child support, alimony, adoptions, paternity and guardianship. I also work in the areas of bankruptcy, estate planning and probate, elder law, and disability benefits.

Chelsea McGrath is an associate at Venable's Tax and Wealth Planning Practice in the Washington, DC office. Chelsea is experienced in the areas of tax, estate planning, trust administration, and probate in which she prepares tax-efficient planning documents and collaborates with clients throughout all stages of trust and probate administrations. She advises clients on multi-generational wealth transfers, business succession planning, wealth preservation, as well as charitable giving strategies.

I am a native of Ukraine, finished high school in Skokie, IL. Then attended the University of Texas at Dallas where I have received Bachelor of Business Administration, and then Thomas M. Cooley Law School where I have received my J.D. Degree. I have been an operations manager of a mortgage brokerage, an escrow officer for a title company, and a successful real estate and business entrepreneur. My real life experience and prospective brings a fresh view to my legal practice concentrates on elder law, estate planning, business law, bankruptcy, and real estate law.

Victor grew up in Alice, Texas between the booms and busts of the oilfield. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Syracuse University College of Law. He spent nearly a decade working in policy advocacy and economic development before embarking on his legal career.. Victor decided to move back to his hometown of Alice, to dedicate his career to growing and preserving the wealth of the community. Ana is committed to providing each client with a personalized experience.. Ana earned her doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center where she focused on clinical work in the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic. She was awarded the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Clinical Student Award based on her excellence in casework, client interaction, and her contribution to the clinical community at her law school. Ana also worked in a prestigious family law firm during law school and interned at the Texas Fourteenth Court of Appeals.. Prior to law school Ana earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Houston graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her undergrad, Ana was an avid volunteer at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Cabrini Program, where she volunteered hundreds of hours. She led workshops for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), assisted clients in obtaining asylum, residency, and citizenship.. Ana was attracted to the practice of wills, trust, guardianship and probate for the opportunity to connect with clients.. Ana was raised in Farmersville, Texas and then made her way down to Richardson, Texas where she attended Richardson High School's Law Magnet Program. She enjoys sewing, gardening, and hunting with her husband in Brownwood, Texas. Ana is bilingual in Spanish and English.
