I was born and raised in Newport News. I attended grade school at Hampton Institute-now known as Hampton University-middle school in Newport News public schools, and high school at Hampton Roads Academy in Newport News. Upon admission to the Virginia State Bar, I practiced with the largest and oldest firm on the Virginia Peninsula. On June 1, 2001, I opened my sole practice, which has grown into the current firm. My practice, experience, and reputation as a competent, compassionate attorney have continued to grow steadily.

Jesci Norrington focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration matters and non-contested guardianship and conservatorship cases. She counsels clients serving as executors and trustees through the probate and trust administration process. She prepares individualized estate plans tailored to meet client's needs to include wills, trusts, irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, powers of attorney and advance medical directives.. Jesci serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association. She regularly serves as a guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults and is a volunteer with Wills on Wheels, an organization that provides estate planning services to the elder community. When she is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter traveling, cooking or spending time outdoors

My practice focuses on trusts and estates, probate administration, and tax matters. I advise individuals and families on all aspects of trusts and estates, including estate and gift tax planning, business succession planning, charitable giving, fiduciary responsibilities, and trust and estate administration.During law school I was law clerk to the Honorable Edward L. Hogshire, Charlottesville Circuit Court; Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law; and student representative to the American Bar Association. I also participated in UVA’s Employment Law Clinic where I provided pro bono legal representation for individuals in Virginia.Outside of my practice, I volunteer with Wills on Wheels, a free service to help eligible low-income Fairfax County residents prepare life-planning documents such as wills, advance health care directives (living wills), and powers of attorney.

In addition to practicing law here in New Milford, I am the Vice President of the New Milford Bar Association, and I serve on the Board of The Merryall Center.. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked in the residential mortgage lending industry, which gave me a good insight as to what makes for a smooth closing transaction.. Originally from Bridgewater, CT, I have lived in New Milford with my wife, Martha, for the past 13 years.  When I'm not in the office, I can be found running the streets of New Milford, training for my next marathon.
