Sarah Smyth McIntosh is an Olympia attorney with emphasis on real estate, land use, corporate, business, and environmental and natural resource law. She formed her own law firm in 1987 and her practice emphasis is in the area of land use, with particular emphasis on the redevelopment of West Bay industrial waterfront properties into mixed use projects in Olympia, Washington. The West Bay urban waterfront sub area plan emphasizes shoreline enhancement and public access to the waterfront where mixed-use developments incorporate parks and trails for the community. Kim S. Along with various family members, Ms. Millman founded the teen apparel mail order catalog Girlfriends LA, which sold apparel, shoes and accessories to millions of teen girls nationwide.  After many years as a successful and profitable operation, Girlfriends LA was sold to a New York based conglomerate.. Ms. Millman utilizes this in-depth understanding of the distinctive needs of the entrepreneur and family business owner in her practice of estate, tax and business succession planning.  Additionally, her many decades of experience in the business world allows her to gain an immediate understanding of the goals and expectations, both personally and professionally, of clients.

Prior to joining McCarty Law in 2023, she spent over 13 years practicing for a law firm in Appleton in the same area of practice. Sara is a member of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council and is a past recipient of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce “Future 15 Young Professional Award.”. While Sara was in law school, she participated in the Mentor Externship program, Judicial Externship program in Hennepin County District Court, the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services Elder Law Practice Group, the Intramural Negotiations Competition, and had some spare time to clerk for an experienced criminal defense attorney.. Before law school, Sara attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Political Science. While at Madison, Sara was a legal assistant for a business law attorney and studied abroad in London, England.
