Our family has lived in the Prescott area for 8 years now and we enjoy being part of this hometown community.  My wife Lisa and I have been married for over 20 years and enjoy family time with our three children. Lisa grew up in the Northern California area and graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Oregon while I grew up in Southern California in Granada Hills.  We met when I attended Law School at the University of California, Davis after being a Wolverine at the University of Michigan for my undergraduate years.. Now as a Arizona resident, I enjoy the Arizona Diamondbacks and have become a fan unless they are playing against the team of my youth, the Dodgers.  Our kids are involved in sports so I volunteer as well including being a referee for AYSO soccer and coaching or assisting in Little League.  We enjoy hiking, attending church events as a family and playing games such as Cities and Knights.  We enjoy traveling whether on mission trips, visiting family or exploring the outdoors in the Tahoe area.

I enjoy helping my clients navigate all aspects of planning their estates and helping them administer the estates of their loved ones. My clients typically begin as "clients" and end up as "friends." I cannot envision a more satisfying area of the law in which to practice. I conduct my practice from my home-office in Phoenix, Arizona.

Chris graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Political Science with honors.  He received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Arizona where he was a member of the Law Review. After law school Chris was a Captain, Judge Avocate Division, U.S. Marine Corps, and an attorney with Chief Counsel's office, Internal Revenue Service, Washington, D.C. Chris was also a director of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. Chris has served as President of the Maricopa County Bar Association. Chris is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Arizona State Bar Real Property Section. He writes a weekly Real Estate column for the Arizona Republic.

W. Durrell Nielsen graduated from the University of Arizona in 1967, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an accounting major. He was also awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona in 1970, where he was a staff member of the Arizona Law Review. After graduation from law school, Mr. Nielsen was employed by the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, as a staff attorney. During the more than four years with the Chief Counsel’s Office, he represented the Internal Revenue Service in a variety of tax matters including civil matters in the United States Tax Court, collection matters in the United States Bankruptcy Court and in state courts, and reviewing and recommending criminal prosecutions to the United States Department of Justice. Mr. Nielsen has been in private practice of law since 1974.. In his private practice of law, Mr. Nielsen has focused on estate planning, probate, trust administration, taxation, and corporate and business matters. He has presented many public and private seminars on these subjects. In addition to his busy law practice, Mr. Nielsen is very active in church and educational organizations, and has served on the Planned Giving Committee of Primary Childrens Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Janelle, are parents of three sons, two daughters, and six grandchildren.. Mr. Nielsen is admitted to practice before all the courts in the states of Arizona and Utah, the Federal courts in Arizona and Utah, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Tenth Circuit, the United States Tax Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Utah State Bar.
