Eileen M. Coughlan Avila’s practice of law began in 1982, when she did general litigation and managed case litigation for the federal government.  After the birth of her son in 1993, Eileen decided to devote her practice solely to family law.  She became a certified family law practitioner through the California Board of Legal Specialization in 2001.  Her practice is 100% devoted to family law and mediation.. Although her family law practice was first devoted to litigation and uncontested cases, over time Eileen has devoted more of her practice to mediation and negotiation.  She is a certified mediator through the University of California Extension Program.  In recent years, she has also been extensively trained in collaborative law and makes use of this training whenever possible in her cases.. Eileen strives to fully understand her client’s perspective and although she provides rational advice based on the law, she prides herself on being accessible to her clients.  When a client is in crisis, she will be there for that client.  She works well helping clients to form support networks, including interacting with other family members when appropriate and needed, helping to retain psychotherapists, CPAs, financial experts, vocational and custody evaluators, and other professionals as needed.. AUGUST LANDI is a graduate of Colgate University (1961), and Columbia University School of Law (1965). Following law school he clerked for two Superior Court Judges in Bergen County New Jersey: the Honorable Conrad Schneider, JSC - civil division; and Joseph W. Marini, JSC - family court division. (1965-1966). He then served as a United States Army Captain assigned to the Judge Advocate General Corps. for the period 1966 - 1971; handling over 200 military trials.. Since 1971 he has been a resident of Monmouth County.

Originally from Louisiana, Andrea McCurdy attended the University of Arkansas graduating with a degree in Public Administration. She later returned to The U of A for law school where she was elected to Honors Council, served in the Peer Mentor Program, and was a member of the ABA, Christian Legal Society, and the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity. Andrea also was awarded Best Oralist for her first year oral argument. As a participant in the Benjamin J. Altheimer Moot Court Competition, Andrea and her partner were awarded Best Brief. Outside of the classroom, Andrea served as an extern to Circuit Court Judge, Kim Smith, and also clerked for two law firms. Andrea focuses her practice in the areas of family and civil legal issues, as well as limited criminal defense. Douglas Brimhall is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociolgy. After graduating in 2006, Douglas attended Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctorate decree in the spring of 2009. Douglas was admitted to practice law in the State of Arkansas in September of 2010. He has worked in the field of Domestic Relations, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy and Civil Litigation throughout the state of Arkansas..
