A Southern California native, I have always been passionate about my community. As an undergraduate, I attended El Camino College and California State University, Dominguez Hills. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. During my early years in college, I gained valuable insight into communication and public relations, which I continue to put into practice today.. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts, I enrolled at the Whittier College School of Law. I graduated in 2015 with my Juris Doctor. I am a life-long resident of southeast Texas, a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and Lamar University - Beaumont. I am married to Tara Wolfe McEachern and we have five children.. After a half-decade in private practice in southeast Texas, I was honored to serve the next four and one-half years as an Assistant Attorney General for the Texas Child Support Division in their Woodville and Nederland offices.. I returned to private practice in December of 2013, to focus primarily in the legal areas of family, divorces, child custody and child support serving Jefferson County, Texas and surrounding counties.. When not lawyering or spending time with my family, I am most likely swimming. I joined a masters swim team in 2012 and will be heading to the FINA World Masters Swimming Championships this summer in Montreal, Quebec. I will be swimming the 800, 200, 100 and 50 meter freestyle and joining teammates in the relays.

Robert Gilligan was raised in Waynesville, NC, and earned an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force in 2009.  Robert attended Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI, where he was highly involved in the University’s law student groups, being the Dean of the Delta Theta Phi chapter, Treasurer of the Environmental Law Society, and President of the Law Student Veteran’s Organization. Robert interned with the 3rd Circuit Court, Family Division, and later worked as an associate for a number of solo practitioners in the Metro-Detroit area practicing in areas of law ranging from bankruptcy to criminal defense before relocating to relocated back to Waynesville, NC.  Robert's practice areas include family law, criminal defense, and estate planning.
