As a former college athlete who worked full-time throughout law school, I am dedicated to making sure all the details of each of my cases receive my full attention. From the initial consultation to the eventual resolution, I use my compassion for people, competitive skills and attention to detail to follow through on the issues of each case I take.. Growing up in Metairie, I attended Brother Martin High School and received my Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Tulane University with a concentration in Finance and Legal Studies. While at Tulane, I was a member of the football team and started 37 games in my career including the 2002 Hawaii Bowl.. Despite my interest in the law, I chose a different path after graduation, accepting a full-time management position with AT&T in Birmingham, Alabama. During my time in Alabama, I also completed my Master’s in Business Administration at Auburn University.. But after only four years in Birmingham, my passion for law brought me back home to Metairie where I enrolled in law school at Loyola University College of Law while continuing to work for AT&T. Just like with my MBA, I worked full-time during the three and a half years it took to complete my JD, all while raising a young family with my wife.. In fact, one of my greatest challenges came during law school when my youngest child was born nearly three months premature and weighed less than two pounds. In addition to the difficulty of balancing a full-time job and law school, I had to watch my newborn son fight for his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Fortunately, after receiving excellent medical care from the many doctors and nurses during his stay, my son was able to go home after 78 days in the hospital.. After finishing law school, I began my legal career at a reputable insurance defense firm in Metairie, during which I learned the insurance companies’ arguments and tactics in defending personal injury cases. It was during this time that my interest in personal injury cases began to arise. These injury cases felt particularly personal to me after me and my family were in a car accident that ended in medical treatments for the entire family.. My experience on the field and hard-working attitude provide the perfect combination for an attorney that is always willing to go the extra mile to work for my clients. When I am not in the courtroom, you can find me spending time with my wife and two beautiful children - especially if it’s time to coach their sports teams.

“We care about you”. Do you really think any law firm would advertize or have a mission statement that they don’t care! Here is another interest tag line.. “Experienced and Professional” I have never seen an ad or mission statement that we have no experience and we are unprofessional. For Pete’s sake, lawyers are all professionals licensed by the Missouri Bar. Likewise you will see words such as “aggressive”, “compassionate” “serious” or statements such as “no recovery – no fee”, “we can help”, “Quality Legal Representation” and of course the always “free initial consultation”.. Every person and every case are different. There is no cookie cutter method of handling personal injury cases. I know that there are hundreds of lawyers in the metropolitan area who “handle personal injury cases”. Our goal is to provide you with the most information possible to help you understand how the system works and if you choose to hire my firm to advise you and keep you informed throughout the process. We want to make certain you have all the information to make the right decisions for you and or your family starting with the basics:
The Gogel Law Firm was started by Jeremy A. Gogel, a former federal judicial law clerk, and insurance defense attorney who quickly realized that his true calling was serving real people not big insurance companies. Our practice is focused on representing people who were injured as a result of someone else’s negligence.. We pride ourselves in being willing to take cases all the way through trial if the insurance company is not willing to sufficiently compensate you for your injuries. Because many attorneys may only go to trial occasionally, they don’t get this type of insight. When we examine the evidence, take depositions, consult with experts, negotiate with opposing counsel, and litigate in courtrooms throughout Missouri and Illinois, our experience is evident. We always ensure that we are thoroughly prepared to fight for our clients, and achieve the best possible results for them. The bottom line is that our experience means we are always prepared to go to trial in order to get results for you.. Our St. Louis, Missouri personal injury lawyers help you through the most difficult times, and we provide the answers you need along the way. We use technology in creative ways to communicate with our clients, pressure opposing parties, and present evidence. We help our clients make sense of the legal process and stay informed with as few barriers as possible.. We are your advocates, and we want to help you find relief with the legal options available to you after serious injuries or a death in the family that was caused by the negligence of another party. You deserve the best.
