What kind of case do I actually have?

Location: Georgia. In February of 2025 I had a traumatic injury while working as law enforcement. Essentially I fought a suspect who assaulted a family member with a knife and at some point in the scuffle he stomped my ankle. I had multiple equipment failures due to the agency providing tasers they bought from unapproved resellers and the batteries were bought from a different agency. Two used pieces of equipment combined to make a useless paperweight. During this altercation I could not call for help, the cheap radios also failed, likely due to the cheap Amazon batteries they put into the radios. Broken/dislocated ankle and broken tibia. Two surgeries and lots of physical therapy. Still dealing with issues to this day. I was promoted in July of 2025 when I returned to work. I was forced to resign in December of 2025. Essentially I complained too much about equipment not functioning, as well as that the sheriff's office was breaking the law by not paying us 40 hours for going to 40 hours of training. They wanted to pay us 24 hours. This interaction was recorded. They've screwed many people out of hours at work, and force us to come in early everyday for meetings that we are not paid for. I had also called out the jail for breaking policy and not documenting when drugs were found or conducting investigations into it. These failures have inevitably led to deaths from overdoses. I also recorded the interaction where the sheriff called me into his office, made up complaints, insulted me, and then forced me to resign. I submitted an unemployment application and they denied it, saying my employer said I quit because I was unhappy. Which is not true. Fast forward to today. I was still under workers comp and the surgeon had recommended other procedures and more physical therapy that could help me. Workers comp called today and offered me what appeared to be low ball settlement offers. I'm not sure what kind of case I have, or if I even have a case. If some smart redditors could give me guidance it would be greatly appreciated. I understand it's a cluster f$#$ of information. I tried contacting some lawyers in the past but they referred me out to people who wouldn't call me back. Or the mega law forms would call me back and then lose track of me and start an intake every week.
