AMCAS - Uncharacterized Separation

Location: California I enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2025 but requested separation before beginning training because a planned ship-date change did not work out. I never attended drill, Basic Training, or any other military training, and I never performed military duties. I received a DEP separation in 2025, although that action was not finalized in my records until around early 2026. I then received my formal Army Reserve discharge order on recently. The discharge is uncharacterized and classified as a pre-initial-training separation. There was no misconduct, disciplinary action, or adverse conduct involved. I worked with Army leadership to complete the separation before Basic Training. I can attach the official order for context. My main concern is how I answered the military-service and discharge questions on my AMCAS application. At the time I submitted, I had never reported for duty or training and had not yet received the final Army Reserve discharge documentation. Based on that, I answered that I had not served and had not been discharged. I am worried that the answer could now appear inconsistent with my records, even though I answered based on my understanding and the information available at the time. I was administratively listed in the Army Reserve, but I never actually performed military service, attended drill, or entered training. Should I proactively contact each medical school to clarify my original AMCAS answer and provide the discharge order, or should I wait unless a school asks about it or it appears during a background check? I am especially concerned that the administrative wording on the order may look disciplinary at first glance (unsatisfactory performance/conduct even though the separation occurred before training and did not involve misconduct. Especially an update about something like this may look "off" especially since right now it is mid application cycle/interview szn. Thank you for all the help!
