Unpaid Wages

employment attorney Illinois Jul 26, 2026
Hello, the security company I have worked at would call me an ask me to work overtime. I have always said yes, some days I have worked for 16 hours. I diligently write down/track my hours. (I have a list.) At the job site we would write down our names and we would use a phone to clock in and out by dialing our employee numbers. My paychecks/paystubs are missing a lot of days and hours (for example, for the days I have worked for 16, I was only paid for 8 hours etc.) In total I am missing a lot of overtime pay and I am missing over $1800 total. My question is, how can I get paid for these missing hours? Where can I make a complaint? (I know this company is already under investigation.) Can somebody help me please? (Payroll doesn't communicate with phone and they are ignoring my calls/e-mails) Thank you. Location: Illinois
