Pennsylvania: Trust not formed and trustee and lawyer not giving answers.

Location: Pennsylvania: two years ago a family member died and left a sizable inheritance to my now 18 year old son. The will states the money is to be put into a trust for education, health, comfort with a specific trust officer until he is 26. I was not listed in the will. We heard nothing so 6 months ago when he turned 18 I told him to call the attorney. They wouldn’t return his calls. I finally called and their excuse was “we didn’t recognize his name” even though he kept referencing xxx estate. They talked to me said everything was sold off and assured me he had nothing to worry about for his college tuition this fall. Fast forward July crickets. Same thing they won’t return his calls so I call and they tell me they have nothing to do with this supposed trust and call trust officer she can write checks. He calls trust officer she says send receipts. He sends the tuition bill 2 weeks ago. Crickets. I text her 5 days later playing dumb saying wasn’t sure she got it here’s a copy. She says she had to wait for the attorney to approve it and will send this week. My son emails her saying he’s an adult and asking her to communicate with him. She had all these excuses why she couldn’t just say yes got it. She’s saying the will isn’t done with probate. We have no idea how much is in the trust but lawyer said it was in the triple digits. We’ve not signed anything so there’s no actual trust in place. I’m owed money for having to prepay deposits on college. The lawyer says they are no longer involved trust officer is a family friend we’ve never met. I’m worried without info he could be liable for taxes or this could affect his FAFSA. The will also talks about a monthly stipend and he’s worried he has to get a job because we have no idea. He wants to handle it because he’s an adult and he knows I will do anything to help him but is frustrated he’s being ignored. Date of death: 10/31/24 Everything sold/debts paid off: 10/1/25
