How to live with my dog?

Location: Missouri Hello, I am needing help with getting my dog to legally live with me in my apartment. My apartment is a studio on the second floor and the lease said in all caps NO PETS. But I need to do something to save my dog. Ask questions if need be, ill try to answer all of them. But the family friend could be on here, and I don't want them to know. For context, my grandpa was taking care of him while I go to school, till he passed away last March. My dog wasn't really in a better situation there, but id prefer that to how it is now. He is now at a family friends place, with the plan being id take him once I graduated or found a place that allowed pets. The reason I want him asap is because that family friend is also taking care of other animals, well over 12 counting my dog. And he has gotten better treatment since he got there, but just recently 2 animals died, another dog is losing fur in some places, and my dog got some almost open wound scabs by his tail. He has only been there for a little over a year, and ive still got a year and a half left of school. If thats happening almost a year and half of time being there, idk what might happen in the next year or so. No one else can take care of him, due to their own circumstances.
