Location: new york I have an employee who has been working for me for three months. I only visit the business once a month, and he handles all cash collections, which he is supposed to drop into the safe at the end of the day. During my visit today, I discovered that $1,200 is missing. Because he is the sole employee, I am certain he took the money by avoiding the security cameras. My biggest mistake was hiring him under the table, and I need advice on my options and the risks of pressing charges.
