Defamation case against me?

Location: Illinois Landlord and I had a dispute over a matter. I have left the property over an early release. I told my friends and neighbors about this incident and they wrote online reviews on google about it. None of them added any lie and stayed true about the incident. about 8 negative reviews but the business also had 16 postivie reviews which I believe are fake accounts by the manager considering they all are fresh. Manager claims to pursue legal defamation charges for cordinating the attack even though the reveiws are like 1-2 a day or so.
